every single one (4) of my pipes/bongs r made with pyrex, i usually put rubbing alcohol in the pipes shake it for a while n she usually comes out. and one time i put it in my tub, put some rubbing alcohol in it and around it and lit it on fire . it worked like a beaut.

I'm the same way as DP, I don't see much point to smoking a glass pipe with a glass screen if I'm going to let tar build up in my pipe and have that taste overwhelm the sweet taste of the bud. I clean it whenever i'm bored for the most part, and i use rubbing alcohol and salt. There are a few spots in my pipe that are very hard to clean though, such as the inside of the bowl on the opposing side of the choke. I can't get at it with anything, i'm looking into using pipe cleaners, but the problem is those have a metal core, and i don't want to go comprimising the beauty of my piece.

last cuple times i cleaned my small pipe, i let it soak in nail polish remover (advice found in another thread) and then i rinsed it out really well with some warm water.....it looked so clean after wards!

i dont even clean mine, i let it get caked with resin, i resin hit it till theres no smoke, and then i hit my bowl on my knee and i get a big clump of resin

**Do NOT hit your bowl on ur knee hard if its a glass peice, mines steel or w/e so mine wont break(cause im known to break them, tahts why i use a metal 1)**

you guys are all off.... just go down to your local headshop and buy a bottle of 420 glasscleaner for about $6.99. you pour it (you only need a little bit) into any pipe bubbler or bong and shake it for like a minute and pour it out. it is completely clean and smells like vanilla. the bottle lasts to clean like 15 times. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

First you must make the decision if you are a cleaner or not. Some people clean after every use, some people only clean when it gets clogged. People who clean say they do it for the taste. People who don't are usually the ones like me who think that glass looks much better when rezzed up, and they've been doing it for so long that the resin taste doesn't bother them..

If you do decide to clean, soak the piece in alcohol and salt overnight, shake occasionally, and the resin will have basically floated off the pipe.

I was curious yesterday how well i could clean out my pipe with just hot water from the fauset. This worked very well for me, it cleaned out an old pipe that had never been cleaned before. There was still a little res in there but it is pretty clean.

Very true. Just finished cleaning my bowl actually. Used some 99% iso alcohol and just shook it for about 2-3 mins and Taa-daa! A perfectly clean bowl! Plus its only $1.29 for a pint and I can usually scrounge up that kind of cash.
