I plan on getting a glass chillum for my next pipe, I have a wooden one I carved myself, it's a real shorty (about 2 inches), and has a pretty small bowl. Talk about a weed conserver though!

The reason they smell less is because generally you pack a one-hitter (one hit's worth of weed), so that there isn't any smoke driftng out of the bowl like there would be with a spoon or bong.

ohhhh, do you think it would be safe to smoke in my non smoking house, or would that still be sketch ballin?

I used to smoke all the time in my house, and nobody else smokes even cigs. I say "used to" because now I'm on court drug testing. Anyway, the safest bet is to get a window fan and put it in the window backwards so it sucks the air out, and smoke right in front of that. If you're really paranoid (like me) you can take another small table fan and put it like 3ft away facing the window fan so there's like a wind tunnel.

But you'd probably be fine just blowing your hits out the window as long as your room isn't near the rest of the "main house" and people aren't coming in and out all the time.

B - Unit

if i ever want to smoke in my room i guess ill just do it in the attic, its like 80% safe in there, but its really hot. Since its a one hitter, ill proably just smoke that in my attic since i wont want to be in there long, haha. Chillums are awesome, at my headshop they have alot of glass ones, but for stone you can get them for way cheaper, and w/ the extra cash i was thinking about buying one of those stash cans, and some bud to go along w/ it, instead of buying one of those "cool glass color changing ones". what ya think?

Go with glass, you will be wishing you did with a stone piece. I bet for 20 bucks you could get a nice chillum

I had like a 3/4"-1" thick maple sapling from clearing the brush by my driveway. I thought I'd give it a shot at carving... first I tried an actual bowl, but I couldn't get the walls arund the bowl thick enough. I ended up doing a chillum... I won't pollute the thread but if you want i'll post a topic like saying how i did it. I'm not by any means claiming to be an expert though, but hey, it works!

I have a friend that's going to carve me a nice one-hitter over the summer. He's a forestry major, and so for a lot of his classes he has access to the college's exotic wood supply. Originally, he was going to carve it for me out of ebony, because the harder the wood the harder it is to burn it. Instead, however, he found this wood called beefwood. It's a hard tropical wood in a beautiful cherry wood color... the only condition, which I happily agreed to, is that I must name it "Beefwood." Which is an awesome name, anyway. I can't wait.
