i got a sweet glass chillum as my first piece. I really like it. It hits nice and smooth, its portable, and mine has a pretty good sized bowl. The glass is better than the metal even though the dugout/onney was a great invention.

I never liked plain one hitters, but I love chillums - just a nice small, portable peice for when you smoke alone (I always smoke a bowl on my lunch break at work)

I had a really nice, super thick chillum that I paid $35 for, but unfortunately, one day it got stolen out of my bag when I left it sitting in a classroom at lunch (I don't know how anyone knew it was there) but its gone now... I'm just pissed off that one of my favorite peices got jacked from me

chillums are sweet, my first piece was/is a really nice inside-out glass chillum about the lenth of your index finger. my sister gave it to me for chrismas a few years back when i first started blazing after her friend bought it in a headshop for 60$ and gave it to her when she stopped smoking. your probably thinking what i'd be thinking...60$ for a chillum?!?!?!, however, i doubt this piece will ever break because it is double-blown and really thick (needless to say it has survived quite a few drops onto hardwood and tile floors), and also has a great spiral-design. lol, it also fits perfectly into one of those otherwise useless ipod-nano socks. only downside is the small bowl which can be real annoying if your with friends and its the only piece you've got, but there is nothing like laying back on your bed, eyes closed, marley on the stereo-system taking a fat rip from a nice chillum.
