i didnt know where to put this but its real life so if its in the wrong forum please tell me where to put it. but the city of ottawa is giving away free crack pipes and needles to try and stop the cause of hiv. its for homeless people. what do u guys think of this.

well i dont know much about crack pipes, but it doesnt seem to me that they would spread HIV...crack pipes are just that right? a pipe to smoke crack in? HIV is not carried in your saliva. In the case of the needles...i actually think thats probably a good idea.

i think its a great idea for addicts, tho i feel sorry for people that do drugs like that, wasting every penny they have for their habbit.

yea but at least their addiction necessarily wont kill them becuase of a bad needle or something, i read that in some other country they gave weed to crackheads and heroine addicts and they kicked the hardcore drug habbit for pot

I remember hereing about a program on the news that takes used needles in exchange for sterile ones for free. Not sure if it was in my state. But the reason was to try and help stop the spread of diseases.
