I was packing my small Dugout a few minutes ago, and noticed a crack on the side, going from the top down about a centimeter. I pushed it together and it looked like there wasn't even a crack. I have nothing at the moment to properly fix it, i.e.-wood glue or super glue. So, I held together as tightly as I could and taped it with Scotch tape, going around the Dugout twice. I pulled the tape very tight when I was wrapping it around, while still holding the crack closed tight. This crack is, of course, in the chamber where the weed goes, not where the bat goes. That is what upsets me. I am afraid if the crack is not properly fixed, it would allow air to get to the weed, drying it out faster than it normally would.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do to fix it, or did you just buy a new Dugout? Do you think wood glue would permanently seal the crack or would super glue work better? I'm reaching for answers. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

pepto bismol is great for stomach aches!

oh and wood glue should work if you put a small amount then vice or clamp it extremly tight .

I can't even smell Pepto Bismol or I'll throw up.

I don't have a vice or clamp, but I am thinking of using Scotch tape again, wrapped very tightly like it is now, after I apply to wood glue.

I have been pondering getting a new Dugout, but I can't drive and I don't know any reputable sites to get a Dugout for under $25.00.

If it's a small crack, super glue is the way to go. You don't want to have to open the crack and try and squeeze wood glue in. Hope it helps.

It's a pretty big crack. I am praying, but if anyone knows any "reputable" online sites to purchase Dugouts, could you please let me know. I'd be most grateful.

If yer gonna glue it make sure you don't get any glue inside, cyanoacrilic and bud probably shouldn't mix.

I was going to put the glue on the outside only, hoping that would be good enough, but I will always know it is cracked on the inside. I wish it could be totally sealed.

I am going to that site right after I make this post to thank you very much!! I hope I can get a new small Dugout for around $25.00. I almost cried when I saw the crack.
