Im looking to buy a new pipe/bong is their an advantage to getting a glass bong rather than a plastic one, i know glass looks cooler. what about the advantages of a glass pipe to a metal or stone pipe ?

Glass is totally inert at the relatively low temperature of a lighter flame. Also, glass dissipates heat very well. I have a small glass spoon that easily fits in my pocket and wasn't very expensive. Go with glass and the hits will be smoother and you'll taste only the weed.

ive asked this question a couple of times, but either i forget what section i put it into or i dont get a response, so i have really fine ground weed(like powder) and i just got a glass pipe, so if i use the ground up weed in a glass pipe am i gonna get a mounthfull of ash please respond cuz ppl are going to start getting mad at me for asking the same question time and time again

sounds to me, that you are beginner smoker since you dont know this. i reccomend getting a nice looking acrylic bong (plastic)

dont bother with metal or stone anything, just retarted. doesnt smoke well. the chamber that holds the smoke has to be as smooth as possible in order for the smoke to be smooth when you take it in. wood/glass/stone/metal aren't as efficient as glass.

but to be fair, i've hit a bamboo bong and it was incredible.

is the pipe brand new? if it has no resin you will get a mouthfull yes.

even if it's brand new it's safe to smoke, smoke very LIGHTLY dont rip it hard.. just hard enough to light it and not hard enough to suck it through.

Not only do glass pipes hit smoother and taste better... they look way cooler. I cringe whenever someone pulls out a metal pipe.

I prefer small glass pieces, as you will be able to see, especially my glass bat. I adore that thing. My marijuana always tastes so good in glass. Not hindered by a paper taste, like in a joint. I take that first toke off my glass bat and it tastes so damn good. I am soooo addicted to glass pieces. LOL If my glass bat broke, I'd be really upset.

Anyway, ending on a happy note.....glass is so much easier to clean, especially smaller glass pieces and bats. I have never used more than Isopropyl Alcohol to clean my glass, and they always sparkle.

ya i just got the pipe, i am sort of a new smoker, bout a year i had a metal pipe but i dont like the taste of it and i heard that since its aluminum its bad for you, i think i will just get some nugs and than put some of the ground up weed on top of it. but i used ground weed with the metal pipe, so would it be the same as a glass pipe as long as it has a screen?
