I love getting a new glass pipe and smoking out of it just to watch it change colors and designs....its truly beautiful.....my latest one start out just plainish green n now its all swirly green and white and black it just looks awesome....anyone else like love this?

Mine is blue and it stays blue.

Keep smoking on it, Insomniac. The color-changing glass is a result of pigments entered into the hot glass during the blowing process. They are usually light in color and simply become more apparent as the darker brown resin builds up indise the glass. Cleaning your pipe with alcohol will restart the process.

One note about glss pipes in general (both colored and clear glass); try not to get your pipe too hot, as heating glass to high temperatures will weaken it and could make it brittle over the long term.

Yeah, I used to love it too when I had a glass pipe.

It was a real shame too, because i had my little pipe, but I pretty much only smnoked on weekends with friends. Now that I smoke alone 4-5 times a week, I have nothing but a dugout

Luckily, I MIGHT be able to score a pipe and a bubbler from artifacts, I'm not sure though I need to try really hard...... Okay, now Im just rambling..... k+ for all!

My glass pipe Charybdis (named after the giant whirlpool in The Odyssey!) is really pretty to watch the more I smoke in it. It's not a color-changing pipe, but the triple-blown glass designs on it are beautiful - the bowl of the pipe is decorated with this psychedelic whirlpool design in green, blue, and purple glass, which carries along the stem with a streak of white. And the glass of the stem is twisted sideways in ripples, so it looks like water that got frozen getting sucked down a drain.

Now that I've started smoking out of it, the resin makes the transparent parts of the stem look like burnt gold behind the color designs, so now it's *really* pretty. Definitely forty bucks well-spent. I love my glass pipe!
