I hear a lot of the people here will clean their pipes when it gets too full of resin.

I was confused, because everyone in this area lets resin build up until it can't be smoked out of anymore. How much resin in the bowl is a way of showing the age of the pipe. Having a dark background instead of clear usually makes a pipe look much better.

It doesn't really make the weed taste like resin at all. Instead, it gives the weed an nice "aged" taste, much like they do with whisky and wine and cheese.

I only clean mine once is super dirty.
I actually like to smoke out of a resinated pipe then a clean one.

I pretty much clean it after every use, I just don't like seeing it dirty

Whenever I get one nasty hit off my pipe I clean it. Usually within the first ten uses.

I'm always afraid some sand or dust or pocket lint or something like that got into the bowl, and I really don't want to be smoking anything other than weed, so I freak out and clean it.

Plus, that first bowl off of a sparkling clean glass pipe with a new screen is the greatest. Seeing the thick white smoke barrel down the spotlessly clean chamber is... nearly... orgasmic. So I usually clean my shit every other day.

I like mine resinated. It just looks so much better that way. I feel I've really "earned" the colours getting all darker. Once it becomes too clogged to smoke, I'll scrape it so it becomes smokable again, but that's as far as I go.

I clean mine when I'm bored. But seriously I let mine get pretty dark. Once I start to see a buildup around the carb (almost blockage) or I get less power in my hits I clean it. I dont deal with scraping, rubbing alcohol and salt is the way to go.

Same with me . Everyone I know does it that way too.

I never clean my bowl. As bowlblaze said, when it gets so much res it gets clogged and you can't smoke out of it I'll scrape some off so I can smoke out of it again but that's as far as I've gone.

I might clean my new pipe when I get the chance because I was never able to see it when it was completely clean (I bought it from a friend).

I used to clean my pipe after every use, but i soon got tired of doing that. Now i let it build up for a month or so before cleaning it. It does make your pipe look better, a lot better if its color changing.
