So, don't think I've ever seen a thread like this before. Anyways, how long have you had your glass piece for without breaking it. I know there's gotta be some nice vintage glass around here somewhere. My current piece is about 5 y/o now, and its been through a bit. A couple moves, numerous knock overs, a couple drops, and more than its fair share of "Oh shit, i just hit it hard, wheres the crack." All that and all that's ever broken on it was the downstem.

I got my piece last June I believe, so about 6 1/2 months. That's my oldest piece. My new piece is just under a month.

My pipe has been through like 5 people in the last year. I think it's about a year to a year and a half old.

I usually sell/trade my bongs after a year or so of use so the oldest glass piece i have is my glass spoon ive had for about 3-4 years now. wow how time flies by.

Dude the oldest piece I had was one with a red and blue spider web design on it. Itl asted me 2 months. Every other piece has been shorter.

The one I have now is now 2 weeks old.

But I bought a pillow for it so hopefully it'll stick around for a while.

I make my own bongs out of liquor bottles. I had one that I made from a Galiano bottle that lasted for 6 years. It hit the ground a lot of times and never even cracked. Then one day a friend and I were taking a few bongs and he sat it down on the coffee table. When I reached for it to load another hit, my little finger touched it and just knocked it over onto the table. It looked like it was falling in slow motion and when it hit the table, it shattered into a million pieces like water flushing across the table...I guess I was high enough...lol Now I have a pipe that's glass that I've had for a couple years but I don't use it much unless I don't have much weed. It gives me headrushes EVERY time I hit from it. I don't mind a headrush now and again, but I don't like them EVERY hit...lol The longest I have ever had a glass or ceramic bong was 7 years. It was an old gargoil from the 70s that I bought new in about '76. I hear those are worth money now...lol If you can find them...lol

I have had my guy for around 6-7 years now. I took very good care of him and made sure to be especially careful. If I lost him I don't know what I would do.

my little war torn beauty is..well, i really have NO idea how old it is

its a hand-down of a hand-down
my friend's friend got it and i think it was MAYBE 4 months before the elbow piece shattered (now its like a chillum...but BIGGER)
then he taped it and gave it to my very good friend and he re-tapped it (first tape job really sucked!)
then he held on it for i do believe 2 months before i came and he gave it to me as a "peace offering" (hell, only see him once a year)
and now I HAVE had it for 1 year annnnnd almost 6 months (got it early august of '05)


so
just to ballpark the bastard! I'd say it is about 2-3 years old
and to answer another question: No, i have no dropped my bowl or broke it in any way so far! (i love it too much lol)
