imo theres nothing wrong with metal pipes....glass usually has a smoother smoke and doesn't get as hot as quickly...but really i dig metal pipes...especially the ones where the bowl screws off...those are sweet because you can use the bowl for homemade stuff too...i think there are pluses and minuses to all different pipes... and thats my

They get hot... I like the screw-on part, too though to keep the cherry lit, just puff on that

Metal pipes are ok for some purposes, but I perfer glass. Most metal pipes affect the "taste" of the weed, whereas with glass, you get pure weedy goodness, without any metallic taste. If metal pipes allowed the smoke to taste the same as it does through glass, I'd be much more likely to use on on a regular basis

i use to love metal pipes witha passion just beacuse you could use them in soo many ways. but now that my tast has strayed i think it has been about 4 years since i have hit anything metal its weird. but me ill stick to my glass.

once you hit glass, you never go back...

Metal pieces are good because they are unbreakable, and most have a screw-on cap over the bowl, so it's easy to travel with an already-packed bowl. You should get a kick ass glass piece, and then get a metal one to take out of your house and keep your glass one safe...

my preference is glass but theres nothing better then buying a 10$ metal pipe and not having to worry about it breaking and if you get a longer one like mine you don't hafta worry about heat either

IMO, glass is the best tasting, and well worth the money. However, I love the convenience of having a durble, unbreakable metal pipe to carry around for emergencies. No worries about cracks and such.
