Ok so i bought some cool pipes offline and decided to get a few cheap 1 dollar chillums too just for shits and giggles from this website http://www.art-pipes.com/index.php?loc=one_dollar_pipes and ive noticed after using 4 different chillums that they all leave a funny taste in my mouth and im not the only one who notices the taste. Could this be something in the chillum or just my imagination? anyone ever experience something like this?

Did you ever think to wash the pipes before you used them?
The taste could be some residue in the pipe that's burning off as you smoke through it.

Forgot to say that they were all washed off before being used. Im thinking its got something to do with what the pipes are made of. I just used a clear glass one and for the first time i didnt have the nasty taste.

dude. i dont know what to tell you other than it could be the material used to make the pipe and its burning creating smoke which would explain the nasty taste. sorry.
have fun smoking with all the other things you bought

What kind of lighter are you using? Do you clean the pipe often? I notice that a pipe that hasnt been cleaned ina while has a funky taste to it. DO you clean the chillum often? Or do you just leave the black "resin" build up?

They were brand new when we washed em off and still got the funny taste. My friend thinks its the material burning off the pipe like somebody here said. Its wierd because i used another one that i got with the same pack and its a solid all glass chillum that doesnt give a funny taste unlike the other funky colored chillums that taste wierd.
