| ![]() Yeah this is my little piece, first one, my sister bought it for me, and i think its color changing but im not sure, the blueish is from the flash, its clear with red spiraling around and i can see a hint of blue and ive smoked about an 1/8 out of it and it looks like the blue is showing up more, is there any way of telling if its color changing other than waiting, and smoking more out of it lol and srry bout the grammer and spelling issues, im not dumb just careless |

| The only way a pipe's color "changes" is from the pipe residue (tar) build-up on the inside walls. Every pipe that isn't completely opaque will go through a process of changing appearence.

| I have a pipe just like that with a different neck. It'll go purple and red. |

| I've had a similar pipe to that. That's not saying much because that seems like a standard run of the mill pipe. It's definitely a blue color changer. Color changing is kind of weird to understand at first. The glass itself does not change. It's just that the resin makes these little flecks of metal in the glass more visible. The resin changes the way light goes through the glass, which is why it looks like the color is changing. If a pipe does not have this feature, it'll turn a dark brown/black color.

| A good way to guess what it will end up like when its all filled with tar/resin is to hold it against a black cloth/tshirt whatever... It's will look kind of like that - the blue will become much more pronounced. A lot of pipes seem to change color, when in fact they are just becoming 'colored in' with residue.
