I actually picked one of these up at the local head shop as a christmas present for my self this past year for just $35. It works. My first half bowl me and my friends loaded up got us 30+ hits. It was actually probly closer to 3/4 full, i've never actually packed it to the brim. It seems to be a little finicky about the weed you use, and I think there might actually be a little technique to packing it that I still haven't mastered. The whole point of the pipe is to only have to light it once which for the most part is true (sometimes you have to light a couple times to get it rolling, but that might just be because I suck at packing it still) so smoking by yourself doesn't really work as well unless you can just sit and puff on it constantly which I can't. It came with a wooden dowl tapered on both sides to two different diamaters that you use to pack and a pamphlet with rather vague instructions that were obviously written by a stoner and some screens. If you smoke in a group a lot or if you can just sit and toke on it by yourself so you don't have to relight then I definately suggest picking one up. It really does help to conserve your herb.
