That's ironic. I just went to a tobacco store the other day and saw one in a display case. I knew all the pipes were expensive ($200-$300) and my husband said, "Man I couldn't afford this one." I looked stating, "Honey, it only says $8.95." "That's the stand babe."

What a stoner remark.

I wouldn't try smoking bud out of a meerschaum. They get very hot just smoking tobacco out of them, and that's with infrequent lighting. If you smoked bud out of one, you wouldn't be able to hold the bowl at all by the time you were done most likely. That and the stems aren't made for smoking weed. They're narrow and would get clogged very easily. You'd have to clean them every time you smoked out of them.

Overall, don't smoke out of a meerschaum. If you are set on smoking out of a tobacco pipe then smoke out of a nice wooden one. Even so, you'll still have to clean it frequently.

Better yet, just stick to weed out of glass pipes like it's meant for.
