anyone ever seen these? my friend bought one at a local headshop for sixty bucks, it's relatively small but inside it's filled with a kind of milky white liquid. it looks pretty cool but i mean what is the point of this? has anybody else ever seen these or own one?

These are called "Bubblers."

He can dump out the liquid and put in any he wants. Water is most commonly used. The water is used as a filter, to clean the smoke a bit.

Yeah I know someone who got one that came with green liquid and it had all this weird stuff that floated around in it.

the liquid does not serve any purpose it is there simply too look cool,that is all.
My friend was convinced that putting it in the frezer wuld cool the smoke but when he took it out of the freezer it wuld always make the weed wet

Eh its not a bubbler, I think he meant the liquid was between the chamber and the outside of the piece. Kind of like those water glasses that have water floating around in them.

I can't imagin why ANYONE would buy one.. Solid glass would be stronger, and considering how easy it is to break a pipe, just another mess to clean up.

Actually, my cousin has one. Its amazing, Its so cool to just stare at. Also, to the person who stated "they cant imagine why anyone would buy these." Well, Its no different from a regular glass pipe. Except, the liquid is very entertaining to watch when your high. Its a really cool looking type of piece. Although, thats just my opinion.
