hi
ok so i am under 18 and i am going to buy a new bowl some time in the near future this is my first but anyways im not sure what the normal price for pipes are. i kno they vary in all but there has to be some median price that they all stay within. now i know what type of pipe i want i want a small standing sherlock but not a bubbler just normal. and i dont know if i will be able to pick the one i want being that i have to have a friend who is over 18 to buy it for me.

but if i could just have some general help that would be nice.

Glass pipes vary quite a bit in price due to the fact that they are handmade. Some pipes cost more than others if they are blown out of good quality glass, etc. Sherlock pipes are more expensive too because they are more intricate to blow. But I've seen some decent sherlock pipes for about $50 (CAD), and others that are really sweet and long for about $75. They are really smooth to smoke out of though, and in my opinion it is definitely worth it. You'll find too that prices for pipes vary tons place by place, so definitely shop around for a deal. And a lot of headshops don't have a paper trail either so you can often talk 'em down. But be careful too what ya buy because if it's too cheap, then it can have defects such as a leak (this happened to me a few weeks ago). So probably your best bet is to find a mid-priced pipe and try to talk 'em down. Sometimes it's worth putting out the extra dough for a quality pipe.

Prices vary with supply and demand, and also quality, just like the grass that you buy every week. Go on the internet, find as many glass sites as possible, and look at some prices.

$20 should get you a 3.5 to 4 inch pipe with rather simple designs. Or a shorter one with more detail.

You should be able to enter your headshop even if you're under 18, so you can pick out the one your friend is getting for you.

at my headshop you can actually purchase them under 18 they dont I.D. or nothing, but its not like that everywhere. With 75 dollars you will proably be able to buy the sherlock of your dreams.

sherlocks are a joy to smoke out of, and to be around, very nice choice my friend.

I got my old sherlock for 35$ at the headshop in our mall, which is notorious for marking up, despite that i still got a crazy deal on my sherlock. It wasn't a standing one though, and the design ws very simple. It was just thick, and had beautiful colour-changing effects. Alas, my mom took it :'(
