So I'm trying to turn this wine bottle into a piece. I have a friend with a glass bit but I'm stuck on what to use for a slide/bowl. I know I could buy one but that wouldn't be any fun now would it? Any one have any suggestions?

Nice, that would make a sexy bong. For a homemade bowl I would say just got for the classic tin foil with a hollowed out object inside of it to make a stem/bowl combo. Or just buy a bowl and make a little stem for it.

Go to your local headshop and buy a downstem. Im not exactly sure what material is used for the grommet (seal), but Im sure they would know.

Ok, so I just read you dont wanna buy one... Id reconsider. You dont want a classy bong like that with a shitty, tin foil or socket wrench bowl!

I'm with ADIDAS, that has some serious potential to be a wicked sweet bong and there is no sense in ruining it using a Macgyver bowlpiece

Go to a headshop, get a downstem and a bowlpiece. They can usually provide you with large rubber grommet/band to create a seal between the downstem and hole in bong, just ask.

I got the bottle from one of my friends. He said it was a bottle of wine his dad had gotten from France.

yeah, like spiral said, when you buy a downstem it will come with the rubber seal if you tell them you need it for a water pipe. they're usually cheap cheap, too, and so are sliders! i've replaced a couple downstems before and they cost me like $5, tops. i got a decent-sized generic, nothin-fancy slider for about the same price. if you can get to a headshop these are your best bets, i'd much rather buy a glass slide than use foil or a socket...

wow when i heard wine bottle i didnt think of a fancy one like that, my friend bought some standard wine bottle bong from a swap meet, nice painting on it, fairly nice and all but HOLY SHIT that would make an incredible bong, get a rubber seal for an oversized slider and use a glass on glass down stem with a diffuser, that would be legit
