This one kid I knew got caught in a dorm room with a canine and officer only finding a small branch in a waste basket.

I don't have any creative ideas, but if anyone has any, please share.

My most creative idea is to get one of those food vacuum sealers and put your bud in one those special bags and vacuum the air out, and if need be, repeat in another layer...

and then if your extra paranoid, maybe tape the thing several times with clear tape...

any better ideas? thanks in advance.

I've heard a couple, but personally I would do all of them if I was paranoid. In the movie Bristol Boys they wrapped pound of weed in that sticky liner stuff that you put in drawers. Also I've heard if you put like coffee all around it. Airtight containers also help. Another thing I saw was in an old spice container (cumin to be exact).

A good idea, but certainly not foolproof.
If there's any residue on the outside of the vacuum bag, a drug dog would likely still detect it. Their smellers are that sensitive.

The coffee thing is complete bullshit, as is the drawer liner and the spice bottle.

So much as been discussed on these forums about the olfactory capabilities of canines, namely those trained to seek out contraband... I suggest doing some searching around the forums. You'll find lots of information, as well as lots of bullshit, although it's pretty easy to tell which is which.

If you seal your stash in vacuumed bags and touch the outside with a hand that has touched marijuana, the dogs will find it. Every time you take out a little bit to smoke, you'll have to seal it in new bags. It's not really a practical solution.

I keep my stash in vacuum-sealed mason jars, not to make it odor-free but to keep it fresh. You can use the same jar and lid over and over again by pumping out all the air after you take a bit out to use. Cleaning the outside of the jar with alcohol might make it odor free, but, again, if you touch the jar after touching weed, the dog will find it.

A dog's sense of smell is much more analytical than a human's. You can't hide a smell by covering it up with another smell. A dog will smell each individual component.

The best way not to get caught with weed in your room is to not keep it in your room. I always kept mine on top of some ventilation ducts in the basement.

The vacuum sealed thing can help for transportation, but I thought of a better way:
Do the normal vacuum thing, but put in the weed VERY carefully while wearing gloves. Once finished putting the weed in the bag, take off the gloves and keep them away from the bag. Vacuum the bag and then, take the weed and put it into another bag, and fill the bag with coffee. Dip the double bag in some alchahol, and then take another bag, fill it up with alchahol, and put the coffee/weed bag in thet, and vacuum seel it. Then take that bag and put it in another bag full of coffee. Leave the bags in alchahol for a night or two. I feel this might be handy for flying with MJ.

I think all you can do is completel vaccum seal the bag, hide it somewhere deep and make sure no essence of the marijuana is present or the dogs WILL find it.

If you read the "Flying High with Cannabis" thread here, you'll see not only is this impractical, bnut its COMPLETELY OVERKILL for traveling domestically within the US. Drug dogs aren't used to screeen people traveling within the US. If you are flying from one US location to another, simply wear whitely tighties and tuck your stash down your pants. While it seems almost too easy, thats all there is to it for domestic flights. Smuggling drugs internationally is another story altogether, and I don't suggest your method or any other for such purposes,unless you enjoy the possible risk of spending prison time in a foreign country. Not only that, but in time, the smell WILL permeate ALL the layers, allowing a dog to detect it with ease. Vaccum sealing is a decent enough idea, but all the talk about alcohol and coffee is pointless and complicates what should be an easy procedure. Not to mention, where on earth werre you planning oin PUTTING this package? Luggage is subject to random searches, and I'm sure weed wrapped in alcohol and coffee would be suchj an odd package that it would certainly warrant a second look. Also, if you have more than I believe its 3 ozs of alcohol, you've already violated TSA protocall, and the package will be confiscated whether they realize there are drugs within at that point or not. All in all, this is a poor idea, overkill, and quie possibly INCREASES the odds of being arrested rather than decreases them

whenever I fly (within the us of course) I am paranoid and double my bag up and shove it in a peanut butter jar, putting peanut butter over the top of the bag too (completely submerged).


I don't know if this even works, but I haven't been caught flying yet... well I've only been searched once on a plane(like a full take off your pants, shirt, etc., or get off the plane.); and that was my fault.(they still didn't find the half oz. in the peanut butter jar)
