im using a 1 liter bottle and have it set up, but i dont know what to do for a bowl.

1)what do i need to use?
2)does it have to be air-tight?
3what else do i need to know?

1) a common item that is safe to use is a socket from any socketwrench kit
2)yes it must be airtight, or as close to it as possible. the more airtight the better, a shotty job making it airtight will make it very hard to brew a good toke
3)avoid copper and aluminum for use in smoking utensils, try not to use tape around the bowlpeice, dont use it for longer then an hour or so at once or it could get hot and melt through, happens to me sometimes.oh and try putting ice in the water

Okay if I use a socket do i have to find one that fits tightley into the opening of the bottle, or do i have to use the lid and poke the socket thru the lid?

Take a knife, make a little hole in the lid, increase the hole until its a little smaller than the socket, burn the hole for 4-5 seconds, and jam the socket in there.

Another way to put it on there is to make the hole not too much smaller than the socket and glue the socket on the cap.

glue is a bad idea. My friend got sick from a glued piece=bad idea.


For waterfalls I have always gone to a local head shop and gotten a female(downstem) and a male(bowl)... I also use a rubber piece from a bong to make it all airtight... about a $6-7 waterfall that hits well(which 6 bucks isn't a problem for anyone who is spending money on weed)

I made a killer ass waterfall bong out of a sobe bottle. Works great just take a hammer and gently tap the bottom part with the side of the hammer that is used for pulling nails out and knock a hole about the size of a small pencil, And for the bowl use a trumpet mouth piece with a screen in it, or socket from a socket wrench or salt shaker lid, And put it on the cap of the sobe bottle, Works like a charm.
