I recently purchased a gas mask from a navy surplus store and I am off to the hardware store to find a way to fit it to my favorite bong for a fun little attachment. It includes a disposable filter cartridge (pics at bottom) and my question is if I should run the smoke through the filter or just take it off and attach my tubing right to the bottom of the mask. The canister is labeled "W99-80" on the side. Does anyone know if this is going to filter out THC or just filter out impurities? Is it worth using to filter the bad stuff out or is this just going to a) quickly ruin the filter cartridge for which I have no way to replace, or b) get us less high? Any advice would be appreciated!

Here's pics of it with and without the cartridge, and a little diagram from how stuff works showing how these type of cartridges filter out chemicals. Anyone know how this might work with THC? Thanks a bunch:

If I were you I'd take out the filter. I'm not sure if it would filter out the THC but it's going to keep you from getting the biggest hits possible and is going to complicate things.

Good luck man, I've never smoked out of a gas mask bong (and dont really want to) but they sure are a cool novelty item.

this isnt really advice on how to make it but when you do always remember to wash your face after you use it because the smoke all being there will give u mad zits

Yea for sure man I've been trying to do so, but when your hitting a gas mask bong theres a good chance that later in the evening your gonna be in candy/fairy land so it gets difficult. I really haven't experienced alot of problems with acne after using it but alot of people do say that so it could be true. I'll have to get a picture of the finished machine sometime soon I named it The Hulkaphant and it's pretty damn gnarly if I say so myself. Also my rig can attach to any bong so its a nice party treat.
