I need help making my bong air tight with stuff i can find around the house and maybe some other bong making tips this is my 2nd bong my first was a simple waterfall bong.

Ok so heres all the stuff used to make it

1. Two water bottles.
2. A long ass tube.
3. A pipe from a rockband drumkit
4. A marker thats been emptied so its like a tube
5. A socket bowl

What i did was got some plyers and pinched the top part of the bottle where you put you mouth so it could fit in the rock band pipe i had to pinch/bend that whole part you put you mouth on to get it to fit in but now its in a pretty tight fit but not air tight.

I got another bottle and put it on the other end of the pipe.

I poked a hole in the side of the bottle towards the bottom (which is farthest from the pipe) to put you mouth in.

I poked a carb on the bottom of the bottle and next to the carb i burned a hole a little smaller than the tube i got and forced the tube threw.

i pushed the tube all the way threw the top bottle threw the pipe and to the bottom of the bottom bottle.

on the other end of the tube ( the one sticking out of the top bottle) i took the empty marker and stuck the tip of it inside it which is a realy tight fit since the plastic stretchs some to fit over it and I also wrapped it with some of my electic tape to make sure it was airtight.

Then on the other end i put on a socket for a bowl i taped it down air tight with the last of my electrical tape

The problem is that its not airtight where the bottles connect to the pipe so when i fill it with water it starts leaking out the pipe so i can only fill up the bottle on the bottom.

When i do just fill the bottom bottle it works just not that good i made a crapy picture of it on paint might be easier to look at that then try to understand this.

So does any one know something i can use around the house to make it airtight some things i have that might be useful are

1.Fire
2.a box of wax sticks (no idea why there here lol)
the sticks are pretty easy to mould into things i think there for sculptures or something

I dont have transportaion and im not near any stores + im broke and 17 so realy just looking for something that most people would have laying around the house

Okay, I can't lie, I have no friggin' clue how this sort of bong would work.

However, if you're only trying to plug the leaks... Are you trying to stick the rockband pipe inside of both of the bottles, so that the water transfers?

If this is what you're trying to do, take a lighter and burn a SMALL hole into the bottom of Bottle #2. While the plastic is still hot, jam the pipe in there. It should be damn close to air tight. Do the same to the top of Bottle #1. If necessary, you could always melt the wax and mold it around the holes

If that's not what you're trying to do...Err... Disregard?



EDIT: But wait, if you put the pipe in the bottom of bottle 2, and the top of bottle 1, wouldn't the water just sink down to the bottom bottle anyway? o.O

The pipe doesnt go in the bottle the top part of the bottle is going into the pipe

The part the cap gos on that parts going inside of the pipe i kinda had to crush it some to make it fit into the pipe

Alright, so should the pipe only be connected to bottle #1, then?

I don't see how it's connected to bottle 2, to be honest... Is it only connected to that tubing? Or is it on the inside of the bottom of #2?

Thats the basic shape the cone part of the bottle is what is going into the big pipe now that we go that setup i poke a hole in very top which is the bottom of bottle #2 and i feed a tube all the way down threw the bottle threw the pipe and threw bottle 1 do you get it now or still no?

So what youre aiming for is a 2 chamber bong? interesting..... but you're doing it wrong..

you see you should add a pipe coming from the first bottle that must go above the waterline somehow before entering the water, i suggest doing this by putting one in thru a hole above the waterline of the first bottle, bringing it up and putting it in a hole above the water line the second bottle, sealing all the holes up around the tube, then pushin it down to the bottom of bottle 2, ive successfully sealed bongs with just electrical tape, and duct tape works too (but you have to use a lot, to make sure it stays!)

i tried to do a quick edit of your design to try to convey how a two chamber would work with your current setup, but im not sure if it would work but the only way to find out is try....

Well i was trying to make a big bong so it has a lot of water to pass threw its almost 3ft long the pipe it really just an extension i wanted to see if i would get cleaner smoother hit with that thing full of ice water but i think i might try your idea and make it a 2 chamber
oh and im out of duct tape/electrical it works great ive used lots in my experiment you think wax could work some how

definitely, but im not sure how well it would hold up.
id go with firesealing the tubes onto the bottle. but if you can heat the wax and mould it around the holes, it could be done.

Ok i started fresh with a new pipe and bottle and it apears insted of crushing the cone shaped end of the bottle it works better to hold it in flame then push it threw the pipe

it seems pretty airtight i can blow the bottle up from the other end of the pipe when its crushed but im going to put a layer or 2 of wax over it for backup
