Here is a guide that i felt like writing on how to make a home-made bong. Ill tell you the steps how to do it. Be warned though, as some things, like plastic and copper, can produce toxic gasses when they are heated up. Anyway, onto the guide.

The Regular Bong

Things you will need

1. A Chamber. In this guide, i will be using a 2 liter bottle.

2. A down-stem. This is the thing that connects the bowl to the Chamber (I think). In this example, I will be using one of those mechanical pencils.

3. A bowl. This can be made out of tin foil, a socket piece etc. In this example, I am using Tin Foil.

How to make the bong

Once you have all the materials to make the bong, you need to actually make the bong. Also, you should have some things to make holes in the bottle, for example, A knife, a lighter or scissor would work fine.


The first thing you need to do is make a hole, roughly the diameter of the down-stem, near the bottom of the bottle. You should make this about 1-3 inches from the base of the bottle, so there's room for water.


Next, you have to push the pen in. Make sure its at an angle so that its lower than the hole you made.


If the pen does not stay in place, then you can tape it. Make sure its air tight, which will allow for better hits.


The next thing you need to do is make a bowl. Get your tin foil and make it into a bowl shape. A thick marker is a good mould for this. Tape it to the end of the pen. Then poke some holes through the bottom. Make sure the holes are big enough for smoke to go through, but make sure they're not too big, or else your weed might fall through.

now, you need to make a carb hole. To do this, poke/burn a hole on the opposite side of the down-stem hole, about 1 inch higher than it.

Now its time to test out your bong. Fill it with water a few centimeters above the bottom of the down-stem. Now, just pack your bowl with your weed and light it up. make sure the carb hole is covered. While your lighting, suck air through the top of the bottle. When the bottle is filled with smoke, remove your finger from the carb hole and suck in.

The Waterfall Bong

The waterfall bong is kind of like the gravity bong. Its filled with smoke because of the water falling from the chamber. When the water exits the chamber, room is made for smoke, so the smoke fills in the bong.

Things you will need

1. A Bottle. It can be whatever size you want, depending on how much weed you have, and how much you want to smoke.

2. A Knife. This is so you can actually make the bong.

3. Your weed. Err... Why do you need a bong if theres no weed?

4. A bowl. This can be a socket piece, but im using tin foil


How to make the bong

The waterfall bong is very easy and quick to make.

The first thing your going to do is to make a round hole at the bottom of the bottle, on the side. That is where the water can drain out.

The next thing you need to do is make a bowl. Make a bowl shape out of tin foil. Put the bottle to the side and get the bottles lid. Make a little hole in it. This is for the bowl.

Make the bowl on top of the lid, where the hole is. Shape it, and make it stay there with tape or whatever you can.

Poke some holes in the bowl, so smoke can go through. Make sure they're not too big, though, or you weed WILL get wet, and that really sucks.

After you do this, take off the lid and fill it with water, while covering the hole you made. Fill it to the top. Now, screw the lid back on, and place your weed in the bowl. Light the weed on fire, and when there is a good cherry, remove your finger. The Chamber with be getting filled with smoke. When its completely full and there is no water, remove the lid again. Then suck the smoke through the lid (make sure your finger is not on the hole). Repeat until you are done smoking.

If it it known that the things you say to use can be toxic, then why recommend that people use them?

And also, on the waterfall bong, you do not hold the fire to the weed until there is a cherry then let the water go. You let the water go while the fire is above the weed and the suction created by the water exiting pulls the fire into the weed like a normal bong does when you suck.

There is a better method to use this. You leave about half to a quarter of the water left in the 2 liter when you hit it. When you do this, the water bubbles up and forces the smoke into your lungs so you get the smoke alot quicker than just sucking it through air alone. I didnt think this would work very well when i 1st read it, but it makes a hell of a difference and is similar to a gravity bong.
