my homemade diffuser

hi! novice pot smoker here. i thought i could use some foil and try and wrap it around the bottom of the stem and use a needle to punch some small holes in it and used a small amount of tape to secure it towards the top of the bowl. no tape is in contact with the water.

you can also see where i dropped my bowl a few days ago

Did you try that yet? I say that because I don't think it will work. It will only make it harder to draw from. A real diffuser (I'm pretty sure) is like a standard stem but towards the end gets narrow and wide narrow and wide...
Sucks you broke your bowl though....

actually it is not hard to draw from at all. it fills the chamber quickly and i can notice a difference in the smoke. i was worried that somehow the adhesive from the tape would get in the water and affect it but i have a 2.0 version now that does not need any tape.

tl;dr it works great and i have a better one now.

I've seen diffusers at my headshop that have little holes in them before, except they were glass of course (: I love going there though, the owner makes bongs and everything behind a window so you can watch
