Heres a cool bong I made outta some PVC pipe. I used a heat gun and a knife to melt a hole in the side for the slide, which is made out of a oversized straw, then added some holt glue to make it watertight. I glued/melted the top of a tupperware container to the bottom of the pipe and put a small amount of hot melt glue around the top to make it more soft for the toker. I generally use some tinfoil for a bowl, which I added some electrical tape to to make it air/smoke-tight in the slide, but Im trying to make a small one out of clay to make it safer when taking long hits. Pretty sick and very smooth hits for a homemade bong. Share your thoughts.

Luckly for me it doesn't! I've smoked it a few times and it really doesn't get that hot. I made my foil bowl fairly hefty so it absorbs/blocks the majority of the heat from getting near the plastic, which is good. I tend to just barely let the flame hit the nug so that only it burns, which avoids a lot of unecessary heat on the straw.

Wow dude. Thats a nice bong but you probably don't care about your health because your using foil, a straw and a PVC pipe. I probably wouldn't smoke outta something that unhealthy dude, unless I had to.

If you don't really care though, have fun with it.

Sweet.... nice invention. When my buddies and I first started smoking in HS we used a crystal geyser water bottle, cut down metal funnel, and some foil wrap. Your pipe blows our out of the water... no pun intended.

You need to smooth out the rim on the top, looks really rough. I still wouldn't use it though, doesn't look healthy or safe to me.

tinfoil isnt the best thing to use, i've used that couple o times but I went to a shop to buy some pipe screens cuz I got sick of tinfoil lol. I mean, it's cheap, 5 screens for 50 cents.

It would be safer if you make another stem and use it with water in it..

Yeah, I decided to re-make the bowl out of sheet metal this afternoon, even though tin foil is only dangerous if you actually vaporize it, which doesn't occur under even the hottest of lighters. I also tested the temperature inside the platic straw and the temp never got higher than a few degrees above room temp, not hot enough to do anything.
