| Anyone? I have part to make one hell of a hookah or a triple chambered water bong... trying to decide. But if I do I have a copper pipe (used in plumping) that I cut to the size I want, but, I was wondering if i heated it and inhaled it, would it give off toxic fumes? Thanks. | |

| I'm under the impression that only when the flame touches the copper that it releases fumes. But I could very well be wrong. If it were me, I wouldn't let it get hot at all. But if you can touch all parts of the copper pipe, it probably isn't hot enough to release fumes. Again, I could be wrong...

| Copper gives off Copper Oxyde which is toxic and very unhealthy for you when heated. Try and find a brass/glass bowl, those are your best bets.

| Note brass is an alloy of copper and ... zinc or nickle or something like that. But it does have copper in it. The best materials for pipes and bongs is either glass, or wood. Brass is safer, I just prefer not to use it at all. Peace.

| Don't use copper, I've heard to many bad things. Stainless on the other hand, I have used with no ill effects. Even when heated to immense temps my stainless bowl didn't release any fumes. Good Luck Peace Laidback |
