I have been reading up on this Hot Knives Method an I am going to try it this weekend cause I'm gettin a half oz. I have heard that Knife Hits really knock you of your ass. I have a jet lighter, a pair of pliers(goin to substitue these for the knives), and a Bic pen tube to use as a hooter(i think that's what they call them). Do I need anything to put over the bud to catch the smoke or should I be able to get most of it with the hooter down next to the bud? (I heard that Knife Hits release alot of smoke?) Thanks for any help!

I tried using needle-nosed pliers, and its no good. They aren't big enough, the metal's too thick, and the pliers aren't insulated from your hand enough. I spent about 20 minutes (way too long) heating them up, but they still weren't red-hot. I finally got fed up and decided to try it anyway, so I choked up on the handles, and the red protective stuff slid off because it was melted and i got a motherfugger of a burn. Hot knives works best with thin pieces of metal that are wll insulated (I use steak knives with big wood blocks on the end) One of my amigos does "hot spatulas" with metal spatulas, and that gives off unholy amounts of smoke considering how much herb you can fit on it. I use a big crayola marker tube to hit it to make sure I get the most smoke possible. Hot knives gives great hits and I love doing it, but I think it's a little wasteful and time consuming.

Get a 4 L (gallon) milk jug and cut off the bottom. Then cut a hole near the bottom. Stick the knives and weed in and inhale out the top.

Doing a milk jug, it gets all the smoke, but you also suck in a lot of unnecessary air, IMHO. The marker tube thingie gives you good concentration of smoke. Almost too much; first time I did kot knives, I coughed up a few internal organs

isnt that a lot of trobule just to smoke some herb? or is it really worth it? inform me please,
