So I am sort of new to the scene and am wondering what are some common things to use for a holder (Trying to find the right word for the peice where the bud sits on top of a screen, generally metal) and what to hold it with (the screen). I have some deer park water bottles here, but I heard the plastic is a no no because of its thickness or something like that, so what should I use?

Looking for something simple I can throw together and then trash after I am done using it.

the deer park water bottles are kinda thin for what im going to explain. i ussally use a gatorade bottle. take the plastic wrapper off. take ur lighter and burn 2 holes on the sides of the bottle, towards the bottom. one will be the carb (the hole u cover with ur finger until ur ready to take in the smoke) and the other hole will be where u put the weed. take a small piece of tin foil, and put it over one of the holes u burn, then with ur pinky push it in so the weed can rest in there. take anything skinny and sharp and poke a few holes in the tin foil and thats it. pack the weed in, light up and smoke it just like a pipe. fill up the whole bottle with smoke and take it in, ull be stoned real quick

I have heard that tin foil is bad for you for this purpose? Any truth to that?

Yeah tin foil isn't really recommended because of toxic chemicals that are released from the stuff it's coated in when heated and inhaled, but if it's a 1 hit wonder then change the screen or tin foil bowl for each toke (or two), if you don't then when the foil heats up you will start to notice a nasty chemical sort of taste in the back of your throat, like when you find really shit weed that's been messed with (I.e. Sprayed with hairspray to make look-a-like trichomes), one thing I've found makes a good bowl is nut shells (like wallnuts e.t.c.), they don't burn too bad and can be any size depending on the nut the only thing is taking the time to make a hole in the bottom (or lots of little ones thus no need for a screen) a good way to do this is to heat up the shell then while it's still hot use the tip of a corkscrew or equivalent tool to make the holes (but wear gloves, the shells get pretty hot and stabbing your fingers with a corkscrew isn't fun) them let them cool and enjoy

could just make a bowl with the top of a bottle, a socket, and some hot glue

for a screen ive used the screen from a window. just soak it in rubbing alcohol

tin foil is bad for you. but you have to be smokeing alot of burned tin foil for it to make any type of effect to your health. what you are/are not breathing in while useing a quick one use bowl wont hurt you. just dont be smoking it every day. and if you do just change the tin foil like said above. have fun with it. mix up all our ideas. carve one out of wood? go for it.

you could make a lung

take the water bottle cut the bottom out
tape a plastic baggy or plastic wrap on the outside
and then with cap poke a hole in it and find a drill bit to use as the bowl piece


these are awesome to smoke out of and you can easily hide or throw away the evidence
they take less then 5 min to make!

how does this work to fill up with smoke? Is it like a bucket style but your basically replaceing the bucket and water with the bag? Just curious as I've never used a 'lung'.
(p.s. I assume when you say drill bit you mean a socket bit seeing as drill bits aren't hollow lol)
