Hey guys wanting to make a double chamber bong with a A/C i cant find a small pill bottle around so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what else i can use? also i have a socket for my bowl can i just put it in the top like you would with a gravity bong or do i have to have a downstem into the A/C?

I advise that you use the down stem into the water. I just made one about 5 minutes ago, just used an old metal pen as the downstem cut both ends off drilled small holes into the bottom part, it works like a charm. Without the down stem into the water the ashes wont really be "caught" but will probably just float around inside and possibly take flight into your piece.

I've never used an ash catcher but I don't think I've ever seen one use water. I think you're describing a percolator as it would filter the water an additional time even though it would be before the main chamber. Anyone want to correct me?

I believe your confused. An ash catcher is a separate piece from the bong that holds the bowl and catches the ashes when you snap the bowl.

A percolator usually is a part of the bong that will filter the smoke through the water cooling the smoke.

I made an a/c a few weeks back and I used a Tums bottle. Just took out the tums, cleaned the container out and just poked a hole in the cap to fit the downstem.
