Since the tragic death of my brothers spoon we have been using papers. Sure papers are fine, but we miss smokin bowls and you need 2-3 bowls for a decent J. So I wanna try and make an apple pipe. What I did is take a pearing knife, stick it into the core of the apple about 1/2 - 3/4 inches and spun it so it drilled a hole. Then I took a pen and jammed it into the side of the apple so it went into the bowl I made. I am wondering if I should take the ends off both ends of that pen and use it as the stem of the pipe or go without any stem at all. Also, I've heard mixed things about these pipes, some say they are good, some say bad... Some say they tast good, some say bad. Hoenstly now, how is using an apple pipe compared to a J? And how is it compared to using a spoon? Thanks for the expertise. Yup.

jsut make sure you dont use it outdoors, you'll look like a hobo. After all... it is last resort.

Its just like dropping.... Its supposedly tastes a bit like apple, but I was a little out of it at the time to notice any taste. And you might want to make a bowl on that apple pipe, sounds like your just making two large holes.

ive only used an apple a couple times but sometimes it makes the smoke sweet it also depends alot on the size of the hole you cut in the apple.

i did apple pipe once but i dont remember what the taste was... maybe i should try again someday to see what the taste is then ill forget it.

its nothin special really, just to use if u got nothin else, ive used em like 3 times. all you have to do is make hole from the top to the center, than make another going through the side so its pretty much an: L 90degree angle sorta thing.
but ya just carve out whatever size bowl u want and make sure u dry it a bit with a cloth. can be a little on the harsh side. but Spark it up and enjoy.
