hello, sorry for annoying ya'll for these last questions.
a:what I really dont get about the apple pipe is that wouldnt if you place the weed around the hole, and u inhaled when lighting the weed, the weed would get sucked into the hole like a funnel? lol, im considering just creating a deeper bowl by cutting into the top of the apple to make a round bowl, and dampening the wet innards of the apple before placing the weed on it.

and for the usage of the apple do you:
a. place the weed in the bowl and pack it around the edge of the hole
b. place your mouth over the mouthpeice
c. light the weed up with the lighter while inhaling into your throat
d. when done inhale stop lighting the weed, and if the weed is glowing, then take another hit
e. inhale slowly later on as to avoid ashes.

oh and one last thing: is a gram or half a gram gonna get two people high(consider the quality of the weed beetween shwagg and dank) sorry and ill stop bugging u guys lol.

dont worry that is what this board is here for, bug us with all of your annoying questions, they will get answered, we dont mind. In fact the reason people come on here is either 1)to answer questions or 2)ask questions.
Now on topic, i see your a bit new(call it a guess), but i will explain it to the best of my knowledge.
The weed shouldnt go down into the stem(hollowed out part from the bowl) if it is small enough. One idea would be to put a screen in it, or use aluminum foil and make you either a bowl out of it or a screen(notice, aluminum foil is not exactly healthy but it will not kill you).
Ok make a circular like cut into either the side of the apple or on top where the stem is. then get a long sharp object(i would say smaller than a pencil) and stick it through the cut u just made and keep going halfway into the apple. Then do the same at a 90 degree angle(either on the side or on top, depends on where you first made your bowl). If you think that the hole going down into the apple is to big for the weed then just make you an allumimum foil bowl and poke a few holes in it. Ta da you have your apple bong. When makeing the first incision into the apple(the bowl that you will be placing your weed in and applying flame) i would say at least make it about a quarter sized bowl or bigger.
Now you said how much should you use either .5g or the whole gram if it is just you and another partner. And you said if the quality is between swagg and dank, lol well swagg=****ty and dank=some fire bug, so that is a wide variety. But on my personal level i would say use about .5, half of it, if you dont fell nothing then sorry.

no dont worry about the weed getting sucked through, unless you break up your weed into very small bits, or made a really big hole in the apple, the weed shouldnt fall through (make the whole a couple millimeters wide or so and it should be fine)

Just dont hit so hard when the bowl is close to being finished. At the end inhale just hard enough to draw in the smoke. You might suck up the last bit, or get some ash in your mouth though, but its not that bad just spit it out once your done with your hit. ( I find the moister inside the apple tends to pick up most of the ash and stuff anyways)

If the stuff your getting is average or better, id say a gram and a half should definitely be enough to get two people high, chances are you will probably have enough for multiple sessions.

alright, lets begin.

First off, i'll answer the easy one. Judging by your post, you and your friend are both new to the wonderful world of marijuana. Half a gram is easily enough to get you both stoned, if you smoke that gram together you will be right ripped. (just remember to inhale right, if it burns and you cough a lot, you're doing it right. )



Now, for best results with an apple pipe, make the mouthpiece hole with a pencil, and make the other hole with something thinner, perhaps a bobby pin or something of the sort (you want that hole to be aboue 3 mm in diameter, for best results). Now, if you're really into this and have the time, you can either do one of two things; gouge a bowl into the apple (i.e. carve a circular shape into the apple with the hole in the middle so that you can place the weed in there without worry), or just simply make the hole for the weed extend down from where the stem is (twist the stem off, make a verticle hole [right where the stem was], and use the dip in the apple as the bowl [easiest].


As for using the pipe, you have pretty much everything right, but if you can, try to place a nice sized nugget in the hole first, then put the shake (shredded up odds and ends) on top of that (make sure that the nugget won't let anything thourgh). Then basically the nugget acts as a filter so you can smoke all the shake without getting it in your mouth.

When you're lighting the pipe, make sure you're sucking in while lighting, and after you see the weed turn red and start to... shrivel up, sort of, take the lighter away. If you've done this correctly, the weed will "cherry" (stay burning like a cigarette does) and you can do without the lighter and the bad taste it gives until the bowl stops cherrying (then you relight it)


Best of luck, hopefully this helped you out. Apple pipes really make the weed taste bad, but, you can eat the apple afterwards! Please let us know how it went, and enjoy!

OK, I always wondered if anyone else in the world has done this, please reply if you have. Me and a friend were already really stoned one night and took an apple and carved out a part of the side to the core, about a pinky finger in width. And then carved out a smaller hole at the bottom of the apple, connecting the 2 holes at the core. Then put a lil bit of foil on the bottom part with multiple small needle holes for a deep bowl....and walla, you have the APPLE BOWL! I must say it was a good smoke, extreamly smooth, catching apple juice with eat hit lol.....and the best part is eating it after your done...tasty i must say.
Any 1 else done this, or any other bowl making stories?
