Yes, headshops do card you. However, in my area there a lot's of markets (where people go and hawk their ****ty second hand goods on sundays) and nearly always there will be a guy selling bongs, stems, pipes, grommets, and any other paraphernalia or accessory you might need. Furthermore, they don't give a sh!t who they sell to, I bought one from there when I was just a lil' tacker.

this is true, down at school there are some hippies that sit out in the quad (the area where all the different buldings open up to) and sell hemp necklaces and pipes and stuff. I do not know how or why but they just sit out there and sell it in plain view.

I don't know about the bowl, but I've used a pen casing, with the ink removed for the stem. I attached it with tape (kind of ghetto, but it worked) to the bottle. I used foil for the bowl, unaware of any side effects that might happen. I agree with going to the hardware store, there's bound to be SOMETHING there. Good luck!

tin foil is alright if your not going to be using it too much. this may be irrelevant, but here's the bong that i made out of a water bottle, i used an empty pen for the stem, and a socket from a socket wrench for the bowl and tin foil for the screen.

this might sound ghetto but i made a bong out of a plastic miller bottle that they sell in 6 or 12 packs with some tape and a metal bowl wit the stem on it....it worked good..jes make a carb hole with a cigg somewhere near the top of the bottle...i dunno..itworked for me...

use sink faucet screens. u can by them or just unscrew the part were the water comes out there should be some in there

i dont have a pic of the bong i made out of a bottle, so im gona list the steps to make it. im pretty stoned so excuse me if i make a mistake.

materials required:
2 highlighters
1/2" socket
soda bottle (plastic)
cigarette lighter
knife
pipe screen or aluminum foil

ok, so heres what u do...

step 1: teke the felt out of the highlighters and cut the end so it basically makes a straw. this will b ur mouthpiece and stem

step2: burn a hole with the cigarette lighter about 3-4" from the bottom of the bottle. heres the tricky part. while the plastic is still melted, shove a highlighter in the bottle diagonally downward. this will form an airtight fit. do the same with the other highlighter in the bottle cap.

step 3: put the socket in the stem. it fits airtight so noa sealant will be needed. put a screen in the socket

step 4: cut a carb hole about 2-3" from the top

step 5: fill about 1-2" above the bottom of the stem with cold water

step 6: put the herb in the socket and light up!

get hooka foil, im sure that its just like hookah coals you dont have to be 18 to purchase them, hooka foil doesnt have the coating that normal foil has, this makes it safe for the most part, but i still try to avoid any aluminum
