Hi folks,

I had been using joints to smoke all my life. It is true that most rolling papers adds harshness to global taste but after experiencing I found that rizla silver has the less impact. Skunk brand is pretty good also(hemp paper).

About the filter issue, I use cardboard filter as explained in previous post. The main purpuse of it is prevent the intake of solid material and avoid having the tip of the joint get all muchy. "Filtering" is not the intent.

I think that joints are convenient. You can have one in a public place and be pretty discreet with it.

cosmopolitan is just a empty blunt shell with a straw in the middle........its is the best tasting blunt wrap there is plus it works perfect........i suggest it to everyone

i currently use black death papers, and i think i like them better then any other paper ive rolled. but considering ive only rolled ez-widers 1 1/4, pouch, and black death, that probably isnt saying much.


ungummed= it more for the purist, "light a match off your belt buckle" image. well, that and the image of somebody who refines the ritual of smoking to the point where they have a smoking jacket and special smoking chair...........

i dont think it really makes THAT much of a difference what paper you use.

ive never heard of the two paper method before......... i simply practiced using one paper until i got it right, didnt take me long......

People use two (or more) papers, or extra-width papers, because they haven't taken the time to learn to roll with one regular width paper. I find it funny that people quibble about one kind of paper over another and gummed-or-ungummed because they don't want to be smoking the component substances and then go ahead and roll Js with three times as much paper as they need.

Rolling papers of whatever kind are almost pure cellulose. Can you guess what the main component of marijuana is?

The best paper is the smallest paper you can comfortably roll. When I was coming up, the ability to roll a nice symmetrical J with a single-width paper was a mark of the true marijuana aficionado. I use Zig-Zags because they're available everywhere and rolling consistent Js is easier when you're familiar with the materials.

ive since learned how to roll a spliff, so they make THAT that much easier, as well.........

so i've been rolling for a long time, and i thought i'd toss in my two cents on the best possible joint.

i can roll by hand, but this just makes the most gorgeous joint you can imagine. and you don't need manual dexterity, and you can do it the same no matter how bombed you get. see what you do, you go down to your local office supply store, and buy a sheaf of cardstock (a couple bucks for 300-some sheets, more filter paper than you'll ever need).

then you cut yourself a little piece of card, maybe an inch long and 3/4 an inch wide. and trim off two little triangles on each side, so your card is like... a little.. paralellogram or something.

then you roll that little fella into a cone shape, and tape it up, so you've got a nice solid crutch for your spliff.

take a piece of card and fold it over and over on itself into like a zigzag, so it's about the size of the opening in the fat end, and stick that in there.

then just roll a nice king size paper (i like kulu's) tight around that filter, and seal it, and you've got a perfect cone, just like you'd buy at the store. so grind up your mix and pack'er in there nice and tight with the end of a pen, and you'll feel real elegant with your long tapered joint. end of the joint doesn't get gummed up, and you get the best smoke. it seems time consuming, and it kinda is, but lemme tell ya, it's worth it.

this link kinda shows what i'm talking about. but don't use paper from a pack of rollies, that's disgusting. glossy card makes your joint taste like butt. and the tape is key if you want a nicely-shaped hoolie.
