| Hi folks, I had been using joints to smoke all my life. It is true that most rolling papers adds harshness to global taste but after experiencing I found that rizla silver has the less impact. Skunk brand is pretty good also(hemp paper). About the filter issue, I use cardboard filter as explained in previous post. The main purpuse of it is prevent the intake of solid material and avoid having the tip of the joint get all muchy. "Filtering" is not the intent. I think that joints are convenient. You can have one in a public place and be pretty discreet with it. |

| I'm not a puss or anything. I smoke joints and blunts all the time. I was just wondering what the difference between rolling papers and actual cigarette papers is and why they taste different. |

| It may be because most rolling papers are made of hemp and therefore taste of it, I think that rice papers (papers made of rice) may taste better but I havnt tried them yet, actually I'm currently trying to find out about them so if anyone knows if they are more harsh on the lungs and if they actually do taste better please let me know. the reason I'm researching it is because I read in a grow mag artical about smoking weed that papers made from hemp mask the flavour of the bud and i smoke only bud no tobacco so I'd like to find out if its true!? does anyone know a good quality light weight rolling paper made from rice? in the article this guy said club rolling papers but i read on a rolling paper collectors sight that they taste harsh?? any light out there?

| The dude who owns Rizla used to come into where I worked last year all the time, and he'd always go into his van and pull out a handful of Rizla Silver packs and give them to me as a tip. I must have gotten about 20 of them, and still have a lot of them. They are great papers, ultra-thin (the papers are transparent and you can see the bud in the joint) and not too bad on the throat. They do burn a little fast and seem a little more prone to canoe-ing, but it's a good tradeoff. Rizla Silvers - try them! ![]() (BTW: one time when I was talking to the Rizla Dude he mentioned some numbers about where their income is generated from. It was something like 10% were for tobacco smokers and the rest were, as he called them, for 'recreational smokers' ) |

| Great news! Roor makes Rolling papers, and if they are anything like their water pipes, they gotta be the "Ferrari" of rolling papers and will probably smoke like perfection. Cheers |

| I am a n00bie who has smoked with friends from a pipe for a long time. Just got my first stash. Don't want any pipes laying around or on me. What are the slowest burning papers that are the least noticable (little or no taste). If you can be detailed about the brand and try to give it a 1-10 rating (10 is best) that way I can determine which is good/better/best if one brand is not available to me. Thanks, JimmyDean |

| Ive been using Juicy Jays lately, I find them to be sufficient. But something that occured to me. Youre obviously new to weed, can you actually roll? You may want to get a rolling mat or some little rolling machine. Also keeping a pipe may sound sketchy, and when I bought my first one (about a year ago.. wow seems like it was forever) I thought it was a big deal. Maybe you should pick up a little metal pipe, or even a rubber-cork bubbler. You can find these for under 10 bucks easily (id never pay more than 10 bucks for a metal piece... if i ever actually bought one). You could also get a little glass chillum for 15-30 bucks easily. Theyre nice little straight pipes that you can really smoke anywhere because it looks like youre lighting a cigarette. Weed falling out of them isnt a concern at all, and they are very discrete in the pocket.
