| Has anyone ever tried these? I bought a pack of banana flavoured rolling papers and I hated them. They burn your throat and it doesn't even taste like banana, it made me apartment smell like sulphur or something. Higher Logic: I added the following to this post since it's the first post in here. The first thing you want to consider when rolling a joint is what kind of paper to use. There are different sizes, different flavors, and different substances used when it comes to joints. I prefer a joint by a company called Club Bistro, they are an all hemp paper, and I buy the 1.25" size; they offer a double-wide too, which might be easier for first timers. The main reason I buy these papers is because they don't have a sticky gum to seal them with. I hate Zig-Zags with a passion, and most older hippies will tell you that they aren't that good anyways. If you don't believe me and you want to compare papers, buy some Zig-Zags, then buy some all-hemp papers with no glue on them (like Club Bistros). Light them on fire, and see what is left. The hemp ones with no gum will disappear, the Zig-Zags however, will leave a white ash behind. The taste is different too. Now, on to rolling. First break your bud up nice a fine, but don't turn it into a powder. A grinder works well, but don't over do it, there's nothing worse than extremely tiny bud particles when it comes to rolling. Once you have it broken up, take out a paper and place the bud in the center in an even line. Most papers have a crease already in them, and if this is the case, you will want to close the joint back in half and hold it on either side with your thumb and pointer finger. While it is folded in half, roll the paper between your fingers so you can compress the bud down. If you don't understand what I mean, do this without anything in your hands: with your thumb and pointer finger touching, rub them together up and and down, so it looks like you are trying to rub something sticky off your fingers. Do this same motion on the paper to compress the bud down. Another method is to use a dollar bill or piece of paper to compress the bud into an even line, whatever works for you. Once you have the bud in there nicely (the bud should be compact, but not too tight, and it should hold it's shape if you were to lay the paper down flat on the table), allow some slack to form on the side of the paper that is furthest from you (if you are looking at the paper in your hand, you want a longer piece of paper in the back and a short piece on the front. The goal here is to have the bud more towards the front to help in rolling it. Now start with one end, the left or the right (whatever works for you), and start to fold over the side of paper closest to you over the bud so it forms a tube. Once you get one side going, you just keep working down the line until the joint is done. Your joint will take on a cone shape almost, and usually the side you start with is the side you are going to hit, while the side you finish with will be the side you light. Some hints when rolling: hold the joint paper on both sides and use your pointer finger to "roll" the back side of the paper over the other side (so the backside will actually be rolled towards you). Don't worry if bud falls out, you can always pack it back in. For the inexperienced, it is a good idea to twist the end of the joint and grab the other side of the joint and shake it like a sugar packet, this will force the bud to the end of the joint, leaving your room to add more bud or to put a filter in. There are other methods for rolling, which are kind of "cheating" but work nonetheless. You can roll a joint around a BIC pen tube (or anything cylindrical) without the bud in it, and then pack it with bud. You could also use a rolling machine as well. A good way to practice is to buy a pouch of rolling tobacco and grab some double-wide papers. The extra paper will give you room to make your joint look more uniform and it wil hide imperfections in the initial rolling stage. Keep practicing with the tobacco, and then start adding bud in as you go along. Eventually you can just roll with straight bud, but the texture is a little different from tobacco so it's actually a little harder. | potprincess yeah, any good head shop will have them, they are very thin, rice paper. Hold it up and lite it.... no ash (at least very little). Hold up a regular paper and set it aflame...lots of ash. Just a lot of stuff going into your body every time you take a hit...try em, you'll love em | |

| Only tried them once. Strawberry flavoured. Ugh, they sucked ass. This is what happened. My friend calls me, says he just got a few strawberry flavoured rollies from a friend and asked if I wanted to try them out. Obviously, I accepted the offer. An hour later, me and a friend met him on the street along my house and he took out his joint. Now, on the exterior, it smelt great. Like a strawberry milkshake mixed with some 'urb. So I was drawn in by the beautiful aroma and my friend began to light it. Nothing happened. Tried again. Nothing. After five minutes of muffled cursing and lighter-flicking, the bloody thing got lit. We all took a puff, then the joint spontaneously went out. So after twenty minutes to struggling with the joint, we gave up and went to my place. Under then light, we saw that we had luckily only smoked a centimeter off of it so we took out the urb and re-rolled it in a Zig. I learnt a few things: - The flavoured papers look and smell great - They do NOT stay lit - They taste like crap when smoked from - They are stiff mofos - Zig Zags reign supreme!!

| You do know that a pack of papers only cost a buck. Just get some practice.

It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable what then?" |
