the best way to make a bong worth keeping is to watch the materials u use for this u will need:
-a light bulb that comes to a small metal end
-a metal or glass tube
-a mason jar or simalar other glass jar with metal or plastic lid
-a mouthpiece of your choice
-if your jar hasa metal lid u may need a tuperware lid
-lighter
-pocketkinfe
-duct tape
alright how u make this is first u take the light bulb and tickly ducktape the outside note: ductape a little larger than u intend the bowl size to be. then take a knife and cut throught the metal at the second ring after cutting u take a leather punch (a thin hard sharp metal object) with that punch u break throught the top of the bulb (this may take several trys) after making the intitial break carfully and slowly crack of the lightbulb to the desired size note: if the bowl cracks it dosent matter because the tape will still hold the bowl toghethor after creating the bowl fasten the tube to the bulb do not use glue if anything use duct tape it wont look pretty but its better than smoking some glue. after connecting the bowl and tube take the jar u've choosern and remove the note: (if using a plastic lid u may skip this step) if your using a mason jar you should find that the inner lid is removeable if u find this to be true then take a piece of tuperware and cut it so that it can sit within the outer lid while completly covering the mouth of the jar note: (read this only if you are using a metal lid and it can not be seperated from the outer lid) if yuo are forced to use the metal lids then carefully cuta hole in the lid for a slide and a mouth then take tuperware cut to the correct size and attach it to the lid covering the holes. now nomater which type of jar you have take you slide and melt it throught the plastic note: (u melt throught yb simply weaking the plastic and then pressing the item throught it) after pressing throught the slide remove it imedieatley note: (it is wise to make the top of your tube wider than the rest so that when the first part is removed the rest will pass throught the female piece easily. after making the lide simply melt throught the mouthpiece and your done toke on

IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE STARTING:
Have a spoon rest handy (or some other type of heat resistant resting place) for the bowl to be placed on once it is very hot. It may not do any serious harm, but you don't want this component to get dropped like a hot potato.

Also have a place ready to put the heat gun down where no one will accidentally bump against the nozzle, which gets very hot.

1) Break up, cut up, or grind up some good vaporizing herbs. Put about a half to a whole level tablespoon's worth into the bowl. Don't pack tightly - you want smooth airflow.

2) Insert the bowl into the glass tube.

3) Hold the elastic that seals the turkey bag onto the glass tube with one hand, and the heat gun in the other hand.

CAUTION:DO NOT HOLD ONTO THE EXPOSED GLASS. IT WILL GET VERY HOT.

4) Point the heat gun in a safe direction, power it on, and immediately turn the temperature down to 550/450°F, and set the blower speed to HIGH. Allow it about 15 seconds to heat up.

5) Switch the temperature down to 350/250°F and stick the nozzle of the gun into the bowl so you get a good seal and then just wait till the turkey bag fills up with vapors.

You might have to go back an forth between 350 & 550, but keep it at 350°F for the most part. You can use the "cool" setting for a bit too. The proper technique depends on the various factors including the quantity and dryness of the herb, how much airflow your setup allows and the distance of the herb from the nozzle. Experiment!

It takes a couple minutes to fill so be patient and be careful not to burn the material. The bag should fill with nice light mist and no one will cough. Too much material, or too high temp, and you'll get harsh results.

6) When the bag is full, power off the heat gun and place it in a safe place.

CAUTION: THE NOZZLE WILL BE HOT!!!

Use the handle of the glass bowl (it will be hot) and place it on a glass spoon rest or other heat resistant surface.

7) Vapors will immediately begin streaming out of the stem opening, so quickly plug up the hole with something.

Now just pass the bag around and each person can inhale delicious vapors with minimal effort.

With experimentation you'll find that you can create very thick potent bags or mild pleasing bags by varying the amount of material used and the temperature. Sometimes you can re-use the same material to fill more than one bag. You'll need to figure out what works best for you and your particular herbs.

(BTW - seasoned smokers claim this method has gotten them higher than they have ever been.)

I was at the beach today and fount some pretty cool hermit crab like shells. As soon as I found them I started to think of how I cook make them into pipes. They all kinda look like

and are of varying sizes.
I'm thinking of maybe puttin a bowl somehow in the big open parts, then making the tip the part you suck from. I guess then I'd drill a hole for a carb from the left side. I'm just here asking for all of your sugestions on how to make these shells into pipes! I have several shells and I think I'd like to make several different types. I was wondering if any of you knew if you could drill through shell without shattering it. Also, I was wondering what I should use to glue the bowl in and kind of fill in the rest of the hole. A friend suggesting to use caulking, and I wanted to know if any of you knew if that be would be good or not.

Edit: I was also thinking about somehow making one into a bubbler, let me know what you all think about that.
