Good homemade vaporizer?

Umm i saw this homemade vaporizer and i was wondering if it would work. You take the siler part off a light bulb so you only have glass. Tape a bottle cap onto the top put in your weed and insert a straw through the cap then you put it over a candle wait to see like mist i guess then suck through the straw? How does that sound im not sure.

Made one, tried it, wouldn't call it a vaporizer though. Waste of time, and bud.
