Has anyone ever made homemade hookah? If you have or know how share some guide lines. By the way i am below the age of 18 how do i make a bowl?

Here goes...

Materials:
2 litre plastic pop bottle
A couple drinking straws
Some tape
A trombone mouthpiece (available at any music store for about 10 bucks)
A patch cord from a guitar (preferrable a cord that doesn't work anymore)
A bunch of pot
Various tools for cutting and making holes
Masking or Duct Tape

Step one:
Make a hole in the cap of the bottle. Shove the stem of the mouthpiece into the hole. Make sure it fits very tightly.

Step two:
Connect 1.5 straws by cutting one in half, and then tapering the end and shoving it in the other one. Cover the area that you attached them with tape as well for extra airtightedness. Then, shove the straw(s) into the trombone mouthpiece. The stem gets smaller as it goes up, so the straw should fit tightly without needing tape or glue.

Step three:
Cut a suitable length from the patch cord. 2 feet should be plenty. Make a small incision on the outside of the cord, and then pull out all the wires and whatnot with vice grips. What you end up with is a nice, hollow tube. Repeat this step if you want more than one person to be able to use the hookah at once.

Step four:
Make a small hole in the bottle, about 3-4 inches from the top. Shove the patch cord in so about an inch is inside. This should be extremely tight. This is so that the hole is airtight, and also so that the cord doesn't fall out at any point. Glue or duct tape is an option if you can't seem to get the sizing right, but it's kind of ugly, and makes it difficult to clean out the hose. Repeat this step for any additional hoses.

Step five (optional):
You can make an additional hole to use as a shotgun if you wish. Make this about half-way down the bottle. It's a good idea to put some sort of marking, like a piece of tape, near the shotgun, since it's difficult to find a hole in a clear plastic bottle.

Now all you need to do is put some water in the bottle, screw the cap on (complete with the mouthpiece/straw contraption), put a screen in the mouthpiece, put some weed in it, and have a toke.

Some things to look out for:
- When using water in this hookah, it tends to be very loud! I'm not sure why, but mine was really really noisy when I was hitting.
- Make sure all your holes are airtight or it won't work.

that sounds good but its complicated, if youre gonna do all that just make a gravity bong, so easy and yet so powerful.......

Fark gravity bongs man. I find the parachute to be a much better device.

You start with the same method as a gravity bong (bowl on the cap, cut off the bottom of the bottle), but instead of getting a bucket of water, you just get a plastic bag (make sure there's no holes in it!), and tape it around the bottom of the bottle. Then you shove the bag up into the bottle, light the bowl, slowly pull the bag down, then unscrew the cap, inhale and push the bag back up really fast. Exact same effect as a gravity bong, but a lot less mess.

Been there, been fugged up by that hehe. Trust me it cashs a bowl quick but it also knocks you on your buns in 2-3 hits. That was what i was using before i bought my first piece. And like capn says its a lot more effective then the water method, allows for more bowl control, if that makes sense.

Hmm, ya'll are missing the filtration and cooling aspect of the Captain's design. Personally, I don't think I could survive a hit from the "dry G-Bong."

A wet gravity bong doesn't have any filtration or cooling either. You'll notice the smoke doesn't go through the water. The water is just there to cause suction and pressure.
