What is the best kind of adhesive to use on a homemade bong or steamroller? I made a bong out of a sprite bottle using hot glue, but there is a big air leak that I can't figure out how to patch.
I've also tried one other kind and it didn't work at all.
I'm looking for something that will make it air tight and not take forever to dry.

What should I use?

You should use money. To go out and buy a nice glass bong, preferably hand blown. This should cure all of your ailments.

any good silcone sealer $2.89 @ home depot plus you can always get ideas for homemade bongs there...alos you don't have to be 18

18 to buy a bong - when did this happen?

The problem with homemade bongs is that I found the adhesive would sometimes heat up a bit, which would cause it to fall of or (eek) inhale the nasty chemicals.

Hot glue usually works with me, although a while back I used hot glue and some rubber ORings to make the seal perfect. Just make sure you don't use something too lethal or with a low melting temp., my buddy used teflon tape and it was airtight but that stuff burns easy

I almost always use a Metal epoxy and it works fine for me. Just about any durable two part epoxy glue will be a strong hold and shouldn't release and bad fumes if your not putting a direct flame on it. I also suggest you use some rough sand paper to scruff up the glueing surface so it will hold better.

Rock on up to your nearest handyman type shop and ask fora silicone product that's could be used to do up a fireplace. Sure the guy will look at you funny coz he can tell no 16 (or however old u r) year old would be doing up their fire place, but he'll sell it to you none the less.
It's usually a thick black sort of stuff, work brilliantly; the more you heat it the harder it gets, after a couple of minutes under a flame it's basically cement.
Alot of them have a major drawback though; they clean up in water, which means basically they dissolve. So you'll need a standard silicone to use around the water mark, but this fireplace stuff is the absolute best for making the cone with.
