Ok, so im my home town, we mostly do what we call 'shottys.' However recently ive been moving around england a bit, seeing people, going places etc etc. And ive found out that nowehere else outside of my home county has heard of shottys. And their a GREAT way of getting VVEERRRRRY stoned, very quickly. more so than bongs.

So, heres how to make a shotty, and please, if you know any other names, tell me.


HOW TO MAKE ONE::

You get a bottle(coke bottles are well-known to be the best) and create a hole a few inches up.

Now you need a 'shotty tube' this is like a bong tube, but without the metal gauze.
If you dont have a shotty tube, here are some things you can use:
snapped of car areal
Tyre Preassure gage(this is what everybody uses here, its the best thickness and diameter)
cut a square out of a tin-can, roll it up into a tube and secure it.

Basicaly any metal tube that has a hole about |------| that thick.


Now, you role up a baccy-ball with your fingers, this needs to be as small as possible, but able to sit in the tube, without falling down.

Next, you have grind up some bud, the finer the better.

Then, get your tube with the baccy ball in, and 'Dab' onto the baccy (this is how you know how strong the shotty is, the more 'dabs' the stronger. first start with a 2dab, then see what works best for you)

HOW TO DO A SHOTTY:

so, its all ready, right. the tube goes in the hole(everybody giggle at the sexual inuendo!) and make sure its air-tight, that is to say, no air can in any way other that through the tube(not around the hole)

put your lips to the bottle and start to breath in slowly, the smoke will enter the bottle, but you wont breath any in. keep doing this, breathing in at a steady and slow rate, untill the bud/baccy starts to move down the tube.

then, breath in quite hard untill the tube is cleaer, and the smoke is all in your lungs.

HOW IT WORKS:

basicaly, much like a bong, however it gets your more stoned. the reason is because you have the baccy heating up below the bud, AND the flame abouve the bud, it heats up more, meaning more THC is used.

just like a bong, the water makes the smoke nice a cool, and the water also takes away the 'shotty load'(the baccy) so you dont breath it in. perrrfect!

Anyway, if anybody knows any opther names, or tried one out for the first time, let me know.

WARNING:: your first time will probably result in you coughing your lungs up...dont worry, eveyrbody does this the first time. But after a while you get the hand of it, and its alll goood.

THC isn't released from the burning part of the marijuana. That part is lost. It comes from the part below the "cherry". If the smoke passes through burning tobacco before it gets to your lungs, more of the THC would get burnt up.

In any method of consuming marijuana that involves fire, part of the THC will get burned up. The part next to the fire gets warmed up to the vaporization temperature of THC, releasing the THC as a vapor. The THC vapor gets inhaled along with the smoke. This is a good reason to smoke slowly, so that most of the THC will be gone before the fire gets to that part of the weed. If the THC vapor passes through something else that's burning, more of it will get burnt up.

It was more the part i didnt get.

Because of the constant stream of air down the tube, all of the smoke and vapour passes through the burning tobacco, therfore i would have thought very little/none would be lost?

THC is a flammable substance. Get it hot enough and it will burn. After it burns it is no longer THC and has no psychoactive effect. The tobacco would act just like the afterburner on a jet engine. Much of what didn't get burnt up from the burning side of the marijuana charge would get burnt up while passing through the burning tobacco. THC evaporates at 200ºC. Burning tobacco is hot enough to burn and degrade the THC vapors.

cos the cannabinoids are somewhat volatile, and burning destroys them. Also why you get higher, per hoot, off a vape than a joint, shotty, lung, bong grav bong, etc.

hell yes my friend! someone else in this world that hoons the sweet shottys! thats what we say, hoon a shotty. they are the best man, you know it! been hooning for 3 years now, normal kind of casual smokin bud before that to but until i found shottys nothing got me as stoned as it used to. I know other words for them, and i know what you mean no one knws of them! its good to see you call it bud as well. sweet sweet bud

other words are barrels, drop pipes, other words for doin a shotty are, pullin, ripping, poppin. Keep on hooning the shotties my friend. peace.

We call it Poppers. I don't see it much, but yea, I've heard of it

shotty here is putting a blunt backwards in your mouth then blowing it up someones nose (or mouth but the nose is soooo much better.)
