a good way to keep the bud fallin out the sides is to kind of fold in the paper at each end. its hard to explain in words but maybe someone will know what im talkin about

what i do is take a toothpick and pack it in real tight on one side, while the other side is pinched closed. if u continue to pack in weed eventually that joint will be hard as a rock. u'll be able to take killer hits off it.

Ya I was thinking about folding in the sides but didn't know if it would wreck the joint or anything.

Anyway, all this doesn't matter anymore because I picked up this killer glass pipe the other day, wow, off one bowl of shwag I was done for around 40 minutes and killed the high with some munchies. But I had never smoked from a pipe before so I was taking little ***** hits, at around 20 minutes I was taking good hits and there was a burning cherry after so I could smoke it one more time w/o re-lighting.

How long does it take you guys to finish a bowl in a pipe? Do you just suck it down in one go? Takes me a long time

It depends on the pipe and how many people are smoking it. But I would say in as little as 5 mins, or sometimes up to an hour if I'm by myself and get distracted (i.e. i forget the pipe is still going)

I heard about the dollar bill method on these boards before but still don't get it, and I've tried. To get weed not to fall out of your joint, the cardboard filter is a good idea, which most of my friends use, but I don't like to roll my joints with them. I prefer to roll my joints in a bit of a cone shape, leaving a small hole at the end where you put your mouth but not really fat at the burning end. I'll always roll these tight so they burn extra slow. when smoking one of these, once you get closer and closer to the end of the joint, it just seems to burn slower and slower until your taking monster tokes and the cherry doesn't seem to be going anywhere, well it burns but slow and it just seems like I'm getting more out of it.
As for smoking with pipes, a bowl will be burned for me in as little as a 2 minutes or 3 tops. For a while I liked smoking from a pipe and got 2 of them but then swiched to rolling joints again, I just enjoy rolling and smoking joints. Next I think I'm going to get a glass bong though.
