Ok, I'm desperate now, so I'm makeing a pipe using a 16mm socket for a socket wrench and a shaft of a tire gauge. The question is: what are tire gauges usally made out of? (i hope not alluminum)

you know if you get a coke can and crush the top so its flat and then get a safety pin and put holes in it and then you can put the pot on top of the flat part where the holes are and light it and suck it in through the opening on the top and theres a cheap pipe that works. and you can make a reallly cheap good bong with a 2 liter bottle and put a hole on the side and get a cheap bic pen and take everything out so its just a tube then u can put the pot in the tube and shove the pen in the hole on the side of the bottle and then put a lighter next to the pen and suck hard through the top of the bottle. ill try to draw one of those picture things...

Dont use the socket. It is most likely Galvanized steel and heating that is BAAAAAD for you. it doesnt matter if the shaft is aluminum, really, as long as it is not the bowl, so it isnt being heated. But stay AWAY from the socket. Zinc coating on steel is bad....

The thing is, that I'll probably end up building another water bottle bong like hyper is suggesting. But if a socket is unsafe, what should I use as a bowl which can be easily found around the house?

And I'm definitely not making a coke can pipe. Don't want to be breathing in burning aluminum.

A Coke can is not only risking your health, but its a waste of weed too, IMO. I mean, you'll get high, but is it really worth the aching lungs and sore throat? Those are just the immediate effects of smoking out of a pop can. There is potential for more severe, long term damage as well. I'll admit in times of dire need, i've stooped low enough to use a can, but those days are long gone. The risks of health damage and the harshness make it completely unworth my time. I like to enjoy my smoking sessions, and thats damn hard to do when you're smoking out of a pop can. besides, it makes ya look like a crackhead!!!

yea, i wouldnt use the can. but the sockets shouldnt be too bad........ first off, zinc is a healthy mineral (think zinc supplements), and even if the smoke isnt good for you, you can pretty much burn most of it off. i use sockets...... mine fits my chute and my homemade bong, tho it fits the bong a lil loosely
