What does PVC stand for? and what is it

I'm guessing it stands for "Poly-vinyl chlorine," but thats just my best guess...

PVC pipes are used mostly with plumbing and irrigation lines; they basically look/feel like a hard plastic tube.

I made a water-bong out of a 2 in. PVC pipe...never gets heated and is actually usually filled with ice water. I don't see how that could be dangerous considering how much we use them for our water supply anyhow.

You are taking a device that is designed to safely transport water throughout your house and transforming it into a bong, which it was not designed for, and you are wondering how it could be dangerous if its safe for the transport of water?

Im sorry but you've obviously read this thread, and you've read how dangerous it is and you are still using it? When you are that desperate for a high, you have a problem.

I cook with a gas stove, so does that mean the gas from my stove is safe to eat, breathe, or surround myself with? No. Its safe when used for what it is designed for.

I mean, if the PVC is not getting the least bit of heat, you MIGHT be ok, but do you really want to risk your life for a quick high?

Safe, purchasable materials are readily available to people under 18. Please don't be stupid when it comes to building smoking devices. If some kid dies because they made a PVC bong, that would set the legalization movement so far back.

So don't use PVC pipe, its about the worst thing you can use.
