Hey, I was wondering if I make a pipe out of PVC...like use it as the tube. I have a metal bowl, and metal mouthpiece. I'm wondering if this would be dangerous. I tried searching the forums...if it's in any of them, can I get a link please? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice. The only thing stopping me from getting a glass piece is that one: I'm only 17, two: I live nowhere near a head shop. So I try to improvise. I also love making my smoking pieces. I have a couple already made, I just want a new pipe.

NO....PVC releases toxic fumes when heated.....search the methods of use forum at www.marijuana.com/420 for more info....PVC is one of the WORST things to use when constructing a bong! HIGHLY (no pun intended) TOXIC....do a search on PVC where I suggested, and you'll find more detailed info

Yeah, you might die, but I guarentee you'd be pretty blasted before you went down for the count.

If you don't have the fear of a potentially painful and horrendous demise, go ahead and blaze out the PVC pipe. Hell, throw some Liquid Plumber on the bowl and speed up the process

Sarcasm aside, PVC wouldn't be a very fun choice of a smoking aparatus (IMO). If you're just looking to make a new thing to smoke out of, there's plenty of other things out there to use. That link Troublemaker listed (I think) has a bunch of other listings for things you can try out and enjoy.

Troublemaker is right, smoking out of PVC is a bad idea. I'm not a scientist, so maybe this is flawed, but...

The V in PVC is for vinyl.
I read that it takes only 10 minutes for fumes from burning vinyl in a normal sized house to kill a person.

Plus chlorine (the C in PVC) is pretty deadly too in its gaseous state.

So yeah, don't smoke out of a PVC pipe.

do a search for apple or fruit pipes. you don't have to be a certain age to buy a mango, it adds a great taste, and you get to make a new one every so often....all your problems solved!!
