I have made a bong out of a didgereedoo. for those of you who dont know what a didgereedoo is its a long piece of hallow wood with wax around the hole at one end. Its used by the aboriginals in Australia to make some cool music and such. I went to australia a bit ago and bought one that is close to 3 and a half feet long, a very small one. It didnt really work and i didnt knwo how to use it so my friend and i got the idea to try to make it into a pipe or bong. First we drilled a good sized hole near the end where there is no wax big enough to fit a 3/8 inch socket in and that works as a pipe: someone puts their hand over the open end, you light and suck, and then they clear it by taking their hand off. Then I decided to make a bong out of it instead:
I sealed the bottom with wood and wax as a sealant.
Drilled the already there hole more at an angle
made it fit my slide
and tada a didgereedoo bong!
Im very excited to use it tomarro night and this weekend and really proud that I made it. ill try to get a pic of it sometime and post it, but no picture right now srry.

That sounds like a nice bong, it'd be cool to see a pic. I went to australia a few years back and bought a nice didge and learned how to play it pretty well. I love smokin and playin some didge, it's very calming.

You dare desecrate what is attributed as the oldest wind instrument on Earth by making it into a bong?! Heathen! Sacrilege!

I jest, but still its a shame you never learned how to play it before turning it into a bong. Getting down the circular breathing thing takes some practice, but it's friggin gnarly to zone out to when you're stoned. There's some stories I remember reading about when I was learning to play mine of Aboriginal people sitting in a group circle and simply using the collective drones of the Didjeridoos to medidate to (for hours on end).

Oh, well...Enjoy the new bong. That thing must hit like a ton of bricks

My friends made one of these before, I didn't personally see it and I was told it wasn't all that great. One of my friends plays the didgereedoo, I used to really like it but now it starts to piss me off. I find it incredible how loud you can have it powered solely by your lungs though.
