| Hey, how long did it take (or is it taking) for you to perfect your joint rolling technique? Me, I'm getting there, as I've been rolling joints and have no pipe, but I'm not all that great yet.. though to be honest I just rolled a tiny joint with the rest of my weed (what little I had) and I surprised myself how deftly I rolled it. So what skill level are you at and how long did it take to get there?

| My joints just gradually progressed through my career. At first they would burn fast as the dickens and canoe like nobodys business or too tight and they wouldnt stay lit. Then I went through a fat joint stage where every joint I rolled was excessively big. Now as long as I have a bunch of ganj broken up I can tear through a pile and roll some great joints in no time. So I'd say it took a few months for me to roll decent joints and then they just got better from there...practice makes perfect. And Ive found that the longer Ive smoked the more Ive despised "machine rolled" joints. Especially when the people that use the machines should know better. |

| When I first started I had no piece so I learned to roll pretty decent joints. They tended to be too tight, though. Then I stopped after I got a few pieces for a while. Then my friend broke my travelling pipe and all I had was a bong, so I started rolling again. I rolled a joint every night for school the next morning, so I got really good at it. If you subtract the time it takes to break up the weed, I can roll a good cone in about 10-30 seconds. Grinders really make joint rolling easier because you can take material of the perfect consistency from the screen and just dump it right onto the paper. |

| took me a long time to master joint rolling at first i would always end up with a pregnant joint - but with practice i have now managed to whip out and roll a joint lickity split. im sure i would be a competitor in a joint-rolling competition, ![]() oh yeah - if your wanting to master rolling faster, a grinder will be very helpful - it makes it much easier, efficient, and faster. oh yeah 2x - i also hate rolling machine joints, never seem to smoke just right..

| my joints are crappy unless im pretty sober when rolling. I've not been rolling long at all though. I can't roll decent or small joints, just fatties. My main trouble still comes after making the log when i roll the paper over. My ends usually end up all unrolled and bent and crap. When i get a nice one though i get really good lookin joints usually. Ill post a pic or two of the last J i rolled up. |

| i really struggled with the first 10 or so joints that i rolled...so i pen-rolled for a while, then i decided that its best if i learned to hand-roll, so i watched other people hand-roll, and i sucked at first, but i got better as i began to roll more joints...maybe after the 20th joint i rolled, i began to get quicker and better, but my joints were sloppy looking and took a long time to roll after about a year, with lots of practice...lots and lots and lots and lots and lots...i was able to roll joints that burned well, but didnt look perfect (wrinkles, crooked glue line, pregnant joints). now ive been smoking for over 2 years and i roll near-perfect joints in 2 min or less. |

| When I first started, like everyone else, my joints were complete crap. They would either be too tight, and not burn, or be too loose, and run and burn really fast. Then, a friend of mine who can roll perfect, cigarette shaped joints every time by hand helped me out and showed me a few tricks of the trade. After practicing for awhile, I got a lot better at it. Now, I'm just as good as him at rolling and either he or I always roll the joint for the session. Just get someone that knows what they're doing to teach you, and practice, practice, practice!

| What I did to get good at rolling joints was just take some tobaccco out of a cigarette and practice rolling whenever I had a spare couple of minutes. In no time I got pretty good, and can now roll a very nice joint in no time at all. |

| Since the first time I ever rolled a joint I've been able to roll super good ones, but they take me a long time, although I'm getting quicker. I don't get why everyone hates rolling machine joints, I think they're very handy, and quick. My friend rolls the nicest joints I've ever smoked with a rolling machine. |
