(i dont suggest you try this at home, i blew up a fan 3 times before i got it working) so i had this idea to make a bong that will brew a toke of monstorus proportions, by adding a fan to the chamber, creating a constant suction , with more power then a person could, , and it would be crazy. so i tryed ot make it last night. i basicly took a hairdryer and gutted the heating element, and rewired the fan, first to a regular plug/outlet setup(BAD IDEA, MANY EXPLOSIONS), then later to a 9volt battery, but for some reason theres not enough sucktion to make the wather bubble, and therefor carry smoke to the mouth peice, imthinkin perhaps 9volts isnt enough power, or perhaps the fan itself just isnt powerfull enough, just thought id share it with you guys and see if maybe theres some obvious thing that im missing

Im not fond of the idea myself. Not enough control. The power and speed the fan would put out would make it very diffcult to control your hit.

I myself would like to see a combination of a lung and a bong. You get the complete control of a lung, the smoothness of a bong, and it would not be wasteful or hard to use. Plus you get the hard hits of a pisser/gravity bong.

The whole reason lungs, gravity bongs, and pissers are able t get you so high is because the less work your lungs are doing, the more efficient they are in absorbing THC. When you are sucking though a multi chamber bong, or a pipe, your lungs are working too hard to make the most of the smoke.

-A lung is dry and doesnt hit very smooth
-A pisser is inconvenient if you are smoking inside (you have to be around a sink)
-A gravity bong isnt very convenient (you have to have a bucket of water around to use one)
-A standard bong and pipe isnt all that efficient with your lungs
-A "power" bong is dangerous, somewhat hard to control, and cumbersom

But the way I see it, a lung/bong takes the best of all worlds, and puts it into a somewhat small package thats easy to use. And it should get you just as fucked up as a gravity bong, but it'll hit smoother.

if you make a lung/bong, I would LOVE to see it. Im not able to smoke right now, so it would be pointless for me to make one.

i think the idea is badass. ! except i dont think its going to work very well. but if you do get some pics up, it sounds like a good idea to me, even if it is dangerous.

i shall begin plans for a lung/bong immedietly. should it be called a long, or perhaps a bung?



P.S.---the fan on the powerbong origonally had 3 power settings, but when i ripped out the heating element the switch decided it wasnt going to work

the powerbong WILL work, i think it just needs more thought and planning

im not to fan savy (if that could be a word)
but i do say with the pitch of the blades and mabye the length of the blades and how fast it goes

all contributes to how much suction you get
all i have to say is get a fan that is designed to..."suck"
but because my shop teacher is a prick, get a fan that is design to "create a lower pressure in the chamber"

Here's a question- do you think you could use a bellows for a lung? Expanding it to bring in the smoke, compacting it to push it out?

If so, it would be very simple to make a hydro-lung- all you'd need is a bong with a modified mouth-piece to fit fairly firmly around the now-mouthpiece of your bellows-lung, expand, remove, put to mouth, and compact. Voila! Easy.

try using a fan from a computer, that'd probably be easier to set up with a nine volt battery than a hairdryer fan
