I have a home-made bong. THe bowl is made out of metal, and the stem is from a hard plastic pen. The bowl is from a socket wrench from tools. It has a small hole in the middle and weed would go in and into the water. I need to find a home-made screen to prevent it. Btw, I can't go to a head-shop b/c I'm not old enough. Thx

You can easily "borrow" some screens from the bottom of sinks at your house or at school or something...

And be careful that when you toke you arent getting plastic fumes from where the stem connects with the bowl.

usually u can find filters for bowls at a smoke shop that are round and should fit in ur bowl.. they dont ask for id for the screens. As long ur not like 10.. Most smoke shops i know dont id to get in, some id to go in the other room to view the bongs and pipes.. But the screens are probbly in the front or u can ask for it and they didntt id me when i bought them.

You can use tin-foil, but not for long cause the heat from the lighter will react with it, but when im desperate, thats what i do

yeah i remember when i started smoking up. all i ever used was plastic or makeshift bongs. they sucked, so i bought a glass pipe and a killer ice bong. Soo much smoother

Inside your tap, there is a little mesh screen. They work great as screens. If you dont have a tap that no one uses, then you can probably go to a home depot type store and buy a filter for a tap, cut it up and use it as a filter.

save yourself all the trouble and toxins and buy a glass pipe, serioulsy, $20 is all you need, its not that much, just take a break from weed for a week, not only do youlower your tolerence, but you get a nice pipe too



and inside your taps are many screens stacked together to airate the water, make it seem like there is more than there actually is, just take 1 out, it wont make a difference, just dont make a habbit out of it

We just use tinfoil on our homemade bongs.

You can shape it to whatever you want - put needle holes to let the air/smoke through.

I've never heard of the heat from lighters reacting with it before, but people cook with the stuff on barbeques and in open fire all the time without concern...

only screens i use are glass... brass and others affect taste, or so i've heard, bought two, and never lose them.

by glass screen i assume you mean the little pebble of glass with holes in it, they only work in glass pipes
