Blowing Your Own Glass

Inspired by another thread, and Glasspipes.org website, I really want to start to blow my own glass pieces. Does anyone know where to get started? Like equipment needed and such?

you should read around there and ask around, at the Glass Lampworkers Discussion Group (the GLDG). i got a set from the website below and they have lots of resources, but it is geared towards beads more, but they def have stuff you could use for pipes. check the GLDG tho, your best place to start and ask. the main forum from the first page, is [the links] The GLDG Room>Glass Discussion. i have a torch at home for only beads and i only really used it for one summer a little bit, but if you have the money, time, and a space to do it in you should definitely look into it.

AS the reseident Pervert, I have to say that I think it's riotous that they sell a product named the Glory Hole.
The fact that something is blown with the use of the Glory Hole makes it that much more hilarious, even if it is only glass that's getting blown!

HAHahHAhahaHaHA yea I know it. I was in awe when I first saw that! Blow my glass through a glory hole HAHahAHhaHAhaaHaHaA!!!

Thank you Jack, I will be heading over there right away. Yea Im just trying to make pipes, not beads. After some reading, I found out there is a difference in the equipment used and techniques for each different item.

I'm actualy looking into the same, but i'm interested in making beads too. check out sundanceglass.com (or something like that im pretty stoned), they've got kits n stuff 4 pretty cheap. I figure i'll start w/ beads then move onto blowing pipes.
