Midnight Wine

Hey guys...I'm a guitar player, and as a result have lots of odd guitar things lying around. I happened to find an old glass slide that I don't use anymore, and I'm wondering if there's some way that I could put it to use in a homemade pipe (sadly, do not have a real color-changer). It's about 3" long, and I think it would work great if I could find some sort of bowl for it. Any ideas? Something that looks sorta nice would be cool too.....glass, or something....

i started out my smoking days by using homemade contraptions. It was fun, i guess but really i wasn't doing myself much good. I smoked out of pop cans and pop bottles using aluminum foil. I'm am glad this only lasted a matter of a few weeks. I came to my senses and bought a nice glass spoon. If a glass spoon is too much money for you, I suggest a stone pipe or anything else with minimal removable parts (they tend to get lost, and require extra cleaning). If any sort of pipe is too much for you, i suggest rolling your own joints. If you do insist on making your own pipe, atleast buy metal screens so you do not need to use tinfoil.

how DO you make an apple pipe... just incase i feel the need. my friends hooking me up with a glass pipe though, so im all set. just out of curiosity though. the other day he whipped out the bong and we all smoked, it was awesome. i had so much.

Thanks for the replies guys....for sure, as soon as I get the chance I'll pick up a glass spoon or sherlock, but I live in a relatively small town, without a way of buying one (and nobody has one to get rid of )....so this homemade thing would just be for use until I get a real nice color changer....

What about this guys....I was snooping around the house and found the top of an old pepper shaker...it's metal, and already has holes cut into it...i think it would work great as a make**** bowl....but, if heat is put to it, will it give off toxins?

I think I know the type of lid you mean, and I dont think it will give of fumes depending on what type of metal it is. Hmm, lick it and see if it has a really strong tin taste, if it does just toss it but if not it should be good but if you get a head-ache afterwards get something else. I have a lid like that but wouldn't it be a bit big for a bowl? Mine would be, how big is it?
