need help rolling J's

sup guys, i need to learn how to truely roll good "cone joints." rite now i just fold the paper into the desired shape, and stick a pen down the top to open it up. then i drop in the filter and pack the weed in. not quite "rolling."

this method doesnt give the joint as good a shape as truely rolling.

i tried rolling a few times, but most of the weed came out the ends and the paper got dented, crumpled, creased, etc.

any instructions, suggestions, links, etc. would be sweet

When you very first start learning how to roll it seems impossible. The first few joints I rolled, it took me 10+ minutes, and still came out looking shitty. Practice, practice, and practice more and you will eventually get better.

One way to really get good is to just buy a pack of papers, grind up some bud, and roll a joint. Then, tear it apart once it is done, and re-use the weed to roll it again.

Next time try searching. There are many posts on here about rolling techniques, and ways to get better!

practice practice practice... its the only way to get good at rolling.. theres no hidden secret that allows you to start rolling perfect.. get some tobacco/or weed and a bunch of papers and just keep rolling until you are satisfied.

Youtube has some good videos, try searching there. I think the big thing is keeping it tight and tucking your corners when you go to roll it up.

a cone joint imo is an advanced roll, but the way to do it is to distribute the weed in an isoceles triangle in the paper, then roll at an angle/one had rolling ahead of the other...hard to explain...i think they are over rated anyway, just roll a cigarette joint

Ps: theres this technique, its pretty oldskool but basically you make pockets at the ends of the paper by folding it over a mm and a half or so wetting the tip only, it prevents the weed from slipping out should look something like this...

then at the end take a scissor and cut off th pockets !

Yeah. What he said. Anyhow, try using your thumbs for rolling the j while your fingers closest to your thumbs support it as you roll so it's tighter.

the way ive al;ways rolled was from the outside - In..i roll up chronic so its always crystally moist and every now and then sticky i find that tightening the ends first then working towards the middle works more efficiently for me?

Yeah, as someone said, cone joints are actually an "advanced roll". Just roll regular cigarette shaped joints and once you can do those comfortably within a few minutes or less start trying the advanced ones.

Takes a lot of practice to roll the perfect joints. I'm not a fan of joints though, I like to stick to the bong.
